HgCapital Trust PLC - London-based investment firm - Will invest GBP19.9 million into Managed Markets Insight & Technology LLC, which provides market access data and insights in the pharmaceutical sector.
The investment is part of MMIT's move to merge with intelligence and analytics provider Evaluate Ltd to become a global pharma commercial intelligence provider, worth USD1.6 billion.
HgCapital Trust's manager will share joint control of the business, and the transaction will value the trust's existing investment in Evaluate at GBP24.3 million, reflecting an 86% uplift.
HgCapital Trust will publish its interim results on September 6.
