(Alliance News) - Global Ports Holding PLC on Friday said it signed a 30-year memorandum of understanding with the government of Saint Lucia.

IN BRIEF: Global Ports signs 30-year lease for Puerto Rico port

Global Ports Holding PLC - London-based cruise port operator - Signs agreement with Puerto Rico Ports Authority to lease San Juan Cruise Port for 30 years. Global Ports will pay at least USD425 million for the port. Firm will pay USD75 million upfront to the Puerto Rican authority. Adds USD100 million during the initial investment phase and USD250 million during the second phase. The latter investment will be used to expand "the capacity of the cruise port by building a completely new cruise pier and state-of-the-art homeport terminal capable of handling the world's largest cruise ships at Piers 11 and 12". Aims to modernise cruise port experience for passengers and cruise lines . Expects long-term financing via debt finance from US debt capital markets from US institutional investors.

Global Ports finishes process to start operation of three cruise ports

(Alliance News) - Global Ports Holding PLC said its 80%-owned joint venture Global Ports Canary Islands SL has completed the request for proposal process to take over operations of three cruise ports in the Canary Islands.

(Alliance News) - Global Ports Holding PLC and Mediterranean Shipping Co SA's subsidiary SAS Shipping Agencies Services SARL on Tuesday announced that talks about a potential takeover of Global Ports by SAS have failed.

IN BRIEF: Global Ports JV agrees on concession terms for cruise port

Global Ports Holding PLC - London-based cruise port operator - Notes its joint venture with Sepcan SL, Global Ports Canary Islands SL, agreed on the concession terms for the Las Palmas de Gran Canaria cruise port, located in the Canary Islands. Says this takes the total number of its cruise ports across the Caribbean, Mediterranean, South Atlantic, Asia and Northern European cruise regions to 22. Expects to take over the cruise port in the fourth quarter of this year. Continues to work on finalising the 20-year concessions for the port of Arrecife and Puerto del Rosario.

Global Ports Holding PLC - London-based cruise port operator - Annual revenue in year ended March 31 grows 65% to USD130.8 million from USD79.4 in the 15 months to March 31 2021. Reports adjusted earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation of USD7.6 million compared to a loss of USD6.7 million for the fifteen months ended March 31, 2021.

IN BRIEF: Global Ports sees 9 month revenue rise and swings to profit

Global Ports Holding PLC - London-based cruise port operator - For the period from April 1 to December 31, the first nine months of Global Ports' 2022 financial year, revenue rises 77% to USD107.2 million from USD60.5 million in the previous year. Adjusted earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation swing to USD4.4 million from a loss of USD8.8 million. Notes a strong month-on-month acceleration in cruise calls and passenger volumes. This acceleration, Global Ports explains, primarily reflects the continued easing of travel restrictions, the continued underlying demand from consumers and the continued increase in fleet deployment. Passenger volumes for January and February are 59% below the same period in 2019.
