(Alliance News) - Gulf Marine Services PLC on Wednesday said it has secured a six-and-a-half-month contract for a K-Class vessel.
No financial details of the deal were disclosed.
The support barges and vessels operator did not name the customer but said it is an engineering, procurement and construction contractor, for which Gulf Marine Services will provide support for offshore activities on behalf of a Middle East national oil company.
The work will be undertaken in United Arab Emirates waters, Gulf Marine Services said, where the vessel has already been mobilised for the project.
"We are encouraged by the steady emergence of new tenders in our core Gulf market, which will allow Gulf Marine Services to focus on building towards full utilisation of all classes of vessel in our fleet," added Executive Chair Tim Summers.
Gulf Marine Services shares were flat on Wednesday morning in London at 9.00 pence each.
