(ShareCast News) - African low-cost airline fastjet said it has received its first fully-owned aircraft.The AIM-listed company bought the Airbus A319 at a discount to the $15.5m (£10.2m) market value and took delivery last Wednesday.Fastjet chief executive Ed Winter said it was "the first (aircraft) that we have purchased but also...marks a doubling in the size of our fleet over the past few months".The aircraft has been earmarked to be the first in the fastjet Zambia fleet and will be flown to Lusaka, Zambia in early November after reconfiguration and painting.In April, fastjet stated its itention to create a mixed fleet of leased and purchased aircraft.
