EXECUTIVE CHANGES: New CFOs for Sensyne, Focusrite, Bango, 4D Pharma

Mon, 01st Mar 2021 16:41

(Alliance News) - The following is a round-up of London-listed company director and manager changes announced on Monday and not separately reported by Alliance News:

----------

Sensyne Health PLC - Oxford, England-based clinical technology using artificial intelligence - Moves Chief Investment Officer Richard Pye to chief financial officer and executive director, while interim CFO Michael Norris moves to non-executive director, both from last Friday. Norris has been interim CFO since March last year. Additionally, Geoff Race joins the board as non-executive director. Race is co-founder and CFO of Nasdaq-listed biopharmaceutical company Minerva Neurosciences Inc.

----------

Focusrite PLC - High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire-based music and audio products - Sally McKone joins board and takes over as CFO on Monday, replacing Jeremy Wilson. McKone's appointment was announced back in September. McKone was divisional finance and IT director for Precision Engineering, the largest subsidiary of IMI PLC.

----------

Bango PLC - Cambridge, England-based e-commerce platform - Hires Matt Garner as CFO and board member, effective immediately. Garner joins from satellite communications technology firm Global Invacom Group Ltd. Garners departure from AIM-listed Global Invacom was announced back in December. The Singapore-based company, which reported 2020 results on Monday, says it has no current intention to appoint a new CFO, with its two financial controllers running finance instead. Bango says Garner replaces Carolyn Rand, who steps down as CFO and from the board but will remain as a consultant for the coming year. Rand was hired as interim CFO in October 2018 and became full-time CFO in January 2019. Bango will publish its 2020 results on March 16.

----------

4D Pharma PLC - Leeds-based live biotherapeutic products developer - Appoints John Beck, most recently chief financial officer at Ritter Pharmaceuticals Inc, as its own CFO. Beck oversaw Ritter's merger with Qualigen Therapeutics Inc, completed in May last year. Also hires Paul Maier as non-executive director. Maier was CFO of Sequenom Inc and of Nasdaq-listed Ligand Pharmaceuticals Inc.

----------

TBC Bank Group PLC - financial services in Georgia and Uzbekistan - Nikoloz Enukidze steps down as chair of board of TBC Bank Group PLC and of the supervisory board of TBC Bank JSC, effective immediately. Senior Independent Director Arne Berggren will take over both chairs, and Tsira Kemularia is promoted to interim senior independent director. Enukidze will remain for now a member of both boards but won't seek re-election at the 2021 annual general meeting. Nicholas Haag and Eric Rajendra also will step down as non-executive directors at the AGM.

----------

Herald Investment Trust PLC - invests for capital gains from smaller technology, communications and multi-media stocks - Chair Ian Russell resigns from board effective immediately "for personal reasons". Senior Independent Director Tom Black, on the board since 2013, succeeds Russell as chair.

----------

e-Therapeutics PLC - Oxford, England-based drug discovery using computers - Splits role of executive chair and chief executive, effective immediately. Independent Non-Executive Director Trevor Jones becomes non-executive chair, while Ali Mortazavi continues as CEO. Seeking additional non-executive director for board.

----------

Informa PLC - London-based business media, training and events - Senior Independent Director Gareth Bullock to step down from board at June AGM, having served for seven years. Meanwhile, Chief Operating Officer Patrick Martell joins the board on Monday as an executive director. Martell also is a non-executive director of education technology firm RM PLC.

----------

MJ Gleeson PLC - Sheffield-based housebuilder - Hires Elaine Bailey as non-executive director starting Monday. Until 2019, Bailey was chief executive of Hyde Housing Group, a London-based housing association with 50,000 properties. Bailey also is a non-executive director of Residential Secure Income PLC.

----------

Just Group PLC - Surrey, England-based retirement income products provider - Hires Kalpana Shah as non-executive director, starting Monday. Kalpana is a 30-year veteran of the insurance and investment industry, Just Group says. She was chief actuary and a partner at Hiscox Ltd until 2016.

----------

Ferrexpo PLC - Baar, Switzerland-based iron-ore miner in Ukraine - Hires Ann-Christin Andersen as independent non-executive director. Anderson was chief digital officer of energy technology and services firm TechnipFMC and managing director of TechnipFMC Norway. Anderson also is a non-executive director of flow control and instrumentation firm Rotork PLC.

----------

AdEPT Technology Group PLC - information technology provider based in London - Says by mutual consent will not re-appoint Christopher Kingsman as non-executive director. Back in February, AdEPT had said Kingsman would rejoin the board starting March 1.

----------

First Derivatives PLC - Newry, Northern Ireland-based consulting and software for finance, automotive and energy industries - Hires Scott Matthews as CEO for predictive intelligence business MRP. Matthews joins from Crowdtwist, a customer loyalty solutions provider that was acquired by Oracle Corp. He replaces MRP Co-Founder Kevin Cunningham, who steps down after 13 years as CEO. First Derivatives also hires Eric Raab to be chief technology officer of analytics software business KX. Raab joins on Monday from Information Builders Inc, a data and analytics software company where he also was CTO. Both roles report to First Derivatives CEO Seamus Keating.

----------
