In what will be welcome news to investors in AIM-listed Escher Group after Monday's share price plunge, the postal industry software supplier on Tuesday won a six-year contract with the Royal Gibraltar Post Office.Under the deal, Escher will provide its Riposte product, which manages data, monitors systems and allows applications operating on different computers to communicate with each other.Chief Executive Liam Church said: "Our vision is to deliver market leading point of service solutions to our customers around the world to allow them to thrive in the digital age of retail. "Our Riposte platform provides post offices with a solid foundation on which they can deploy further services across new channels." The announcement came a day after the group warned the roll-out of its software by a particular customer was progressing more slowly than originally anticipated. It said that as a result the majority of its licensing revenue will now be recognised in the second half.NR
