EXECUTIVE CHANGES: Empresaria appoints new North America head

(Alliance News) - The following is a round-up of London-listed company director and manager changes announced on Wednesday and Thursday and not separately reported by Alliance News:

Empresaria Group PLC - Crawley, West Sussex-based specialist staffing - Appoints Garrick Cooper as president of North America, where he will be responsible for developing the group's operations in that region. He joins from California-based workforce services provider Volt Workforce Solutions, where he was vice president for the Technical division.

FirstGroup PLC - Aberdeen, Scotland-based public transport operator - Non-executive directors Martha Poulter and Steve Gunning will not seek re-election at the group's annual general meeting on September 13 and will step down on that date. Poulter has been part of FirstGroup of four years since 2017 and Gunning for two years since 2019.

Proton Motor Power Systems PLC - Munich-based producer of hydrogen fuel cells and electric hybrid systems - Appoints Antonio Bossi as non-executive director with immediate effect. Will have responsibility for the company's corporate affairs, compliance and investor relations. Was formerly director of Corporate Advisory at broker Shore Capital.

Baillie Gifford UK Growth Trust PLC - investor in UK-based listed companies - Appoints Cathy Pitt as non-executive director with immediate effect. Pitt is currently a consultant partners at Frankfurt, Germany-based law firm CMS, which offers legal and tax advisory services.

Xtract Resources PLC - London-based gold miner with assets in southern Africa and Australia - Non-Executive Director Jeremy Read steps down from his role with immediate effect, but will remain with the company as project manager for the Bushranger project. Xtract has started looking for a new non-executive director from the resources sector.
