EXECUTIVE CHANGES: Eland Oil founder now Vaalco CEO; Dialight CFO out

Mon, 12th Apr 2021 16:15

(Alliance News) - The following is a round-up of London-listed company director and manager changes announced on Monday and not separately reported by Alliance News:

----------

Wizz Air Holdings PLC - Budapest-based central and eastern Europe-focused budget airline - Hires Anthony Radev as independent non-executive director, starting Tuesday and replacing Barry Eccleston. Radev is president of Corvinus University at Budapest. He also is on the boards of MOL Hungarian Oil & Gas PLC, the Hungary Football Federation, and DSK bank in Bulgaria. Until 2013, Radev was a senior partner at consultants McKinsey & Co.

----------

Vaalco Energy Inc - Houston-based operator of Etame Marin block offshore Gabon - Moves Non-Executive Director George Maxwell to chief executive officer, starting Monday. Maxwell, who has been director since June of last year, will remain on the board. He replaces Cary Bounds, who leaves the company on "to pursue other interests", having been in post since 2016. Maxwell founded former London listing Eland Oil & Gas PLC and helped run the company until it was sold in 2019 to Nigeria's Seplat Petroleum Development Co PLC. Vaalco says it plans to continue to focus on exploration and production in West Africa, combining cash flow from existing resources with growth opportunities via acquisition. Following Vaalco's dual listing on the London Stock Exchange, it intends to open a business development office in London and recruit a London-based chief financial officer. Maxwell will split his time between Houston and London.

----------

Dialight PLC - London-based industrial LED lighting - Wai Kuen steps down as chief financial officer and as executive director to relocate to Singapore for personal reasons. Dialight will start search for a successor, and Wai Kuen will help with transition.

----------

nmcn PLC - Nottinghamshire-based engineering and construction - Says Lee Marks will join as CEO on May 17. nmcn had announced Marks's hire back in January. He joins from NB Bailey Ltd, an engineering and services firm where he has been commercial director since 2013.

----------

Atalaya Mining PLC - Cyprus-based copper producer - Damon Barber steps down as non-executive director immediately. Barber has served on the board since 2015 as the representative of shareholder Liberty Metals & Mining Holding LLC, which retains the right to appoint a director as long as its stake remains above 10%. Liberty raised its stake in Atalaya to 14.5% in a share placing back in 2017.

----------

Cellular Goods PLC - London-based consumer products based on biosynthetic cannabinoids - Hires Istok Nahtigal as head of Process & Applied Sciences, focused on cannabinoid supply chain and relationships with manufacturing partners. Also hires Amanda Pape and Melissa Santolini for product development team as senior quality assurance manager and lead project manager, respectively. Contracts two consultants to advise on the development of pet care and skincare ranges: Caroline Queen for pet care and Antony Buck for skincare. Queen was senior business development director for Vet Partners Ltd, and Buck created the REN Skincare brand.

----------

City of London Group PLC - financial services for UK small and medium enterprises - Says subsidiary Recognise Bank hires Damian Trussler as head of Savings & Payments, to lead the launch of the bank's personal savings products. Trussler joins from Nationwide Building Society, where he was senior manager for Product & Proposition within the Business Savings division.

----------

Diaceutics PLC - Belfast-based diagnostic commercialisation firm - Hires Yvanka Gilliam as vice president for Asia Pacific. Gilliam joins from Kantar Health, where she was a senior client partner for Real World Evidence.

----------

FastForward Innovations Ltd - investor in life sciences and technology businesses, particularly in medical cannabis - Hires Alfredo Pascual as vice president of Investment Analysis. Pascual has worked in the cannabis space since 2016, FastForward says, and will focus on sourcing investment opportunities in the European medical cannabis industry.
