LONDON (Alliance News) - ECR Minerals PLC on Friday said it has appointed Samuel Garrett as non-executive director of the company with immediate effect.
Garrett is an "experienced geologist", the precious metals exploration company said.
He has 30 years of exploration management, project assessment and operational experience, having worked for large and junior mining and exploration companies, ECR added.
Garrett currently holds directorships at several companies including, Metal Ventures Pty Ltd, Rock Ratings Pty Ltd and Ming Gold Pty Ltd.
"Sam brings extensive geological experience onto the board, not just in Australia but also in South America and the Philippines, where the company has existing business interests," Chief Executive Craig Brown said.
"The timing of Sam's appointment is key, as we look to rapidly advance our existing interests and continue to identify new strategic acquisition opportunities."
ECR shares were flat at 0.85 pence each on Friday afternoon.
