"We have to face the fact that most of the measures introduced in the emergency budget aren't really going to hit people until 2011," Chief Executive Officer David Wild told journalists on a conference call. At 0754 GMT, shares -18.9 pence, or 3.7%, at 497.3 pence. COSALT PLC (CSLT.LN) said it has bought a major stake in a unit of Danish engineering company APRO and formed a joint venture focused on the wind energy market. PROMETHEAN WORLD PLC (PRW.LN), which makes interactive white boards for schools, Tuesday reported a 35% rise in first-half revenue as sales of its interactive learning products rose across its markets. (PURE.LN) said spending on sales and marketing and investment in production facilities mean profit for its 2010 fiscal year will be lower than a year earlier. The sweeteners company added sales will be flat year-on-year. It ended a contract with a trading partner in favor of selling directly to food and beverage makers, the company said. PZ CUSSONS PLC (PZC.LN) posted a 20% jump in fiscal 2010 pretax profit and said brand renovation programs should continue driving growth, especially overseas, although the consumer outlook in a number of its markets remains uncertain. IDOX PLC (IDOX.LN), a supplier of software and services to the U.K. public sector, said it has agreed to buy Computershare Electoral Management Services Ltd. from Computershare Ltd. MEDIA SQUARE PLC (MSQ.LN), a marketing communications group, said it swung to an operating profit in the first four months of fiscal 2010 after it closed or sold loss-making agencies and cut costs, but also reported a modest increase in client spending. PATSYSTEMS PLC (PTS.LN), an electronic trading technology provider, posted a much-reduced first-half pretax profit despite a rise in revenue because operating expenses rose, and said it has a strong sales pipeline. "The number of new business opportunities and the overall value of the sales pipeline is significantly ahead of the prior year," Patsystems said in its statement, adding that solid business growth opportunities exist for 2011 and beyond, although it didn't give further details.
