CAP-XX launches direct sales capacity in North America

Wed, 04th Oct 2023 13:48

(Sharecast News) - Supercapacitor specialist CAP-XX announced the expansion of its sales team on Wednesday, with the appointment of four sales representatives dedicated to the North American market.

The AIM-traded firm said the move represented its maiden venture into engaging direct sales in the region.

It added that the decision was part of its new tactic of enlarging its global sales operations, recently hiring sales directors in Europe, India, and South Africa.

Alongside the new appointments, CAP-XX said it was also actively augmenting its distribution network, especially targeting larger tier-one and tier-two distributors.

That expansion was part of a concerted effort to build and foster relationships with potential and existing key customers, achieved through consistent engineering meetings with design, manufacturing groups, and contract manufacturers.

CAP-XX said those collaborations were intended to ensure that its customer product development teams were well-versed in the advantages of supercapacitor technology.

The company's new, multipronged distribution strategy now amalgamated direct sales, distributor networks, and partnerships.

With the addition of the new sales representatives and a fortified distributor network, CAP-XX boasted a team of 20 designated personnel spanning North America, providing coverage in the central and north, southeast, southwest, and Texas and Mexico regions.

"CAP-XX has introduced technical customer support early into the sales cycle to strengthen its direct relationships with customer design teams," said chief executive officer Lars Stegmann.

"Expansion of our direct sales force will add greater geographic reach and increase direct customer engagement.

"Added to our pipeline of imminent new product launches and commitment to innovation, we expect these measures to increase our competitive edge."

At 1300 BST, shares in CAP-XX were flat at 1.5p.
