EXECUTIVE CHANGES: CFOs drop like flies; ex-IG CEO to chair Scotgold

(Alliance News) - The following is a round-up of London-listed company director and manager changes announced on Tuesday and not separately reported by Alliance News:

Legal & General Group PLC - London-based provider of investment management, life assurance and pension services - Hires Laura Wade-Gery as independent non-executive director, starting January 3. Wade-Gery was executive director of multi-channel at Marks & Spencer Group PLC and chief executive officer of Tesco.com and Tesco Direct at Tesco PLC, both retailers.

3i Group PLC - London-based private equity and venture capital - Dutch portfolio firm Action promotes Commercial Director Hajir Hajji to CEO, replacing Sander van der Laan. Hajji will become CEO of the non-food discount retailer on January 1, and Sandar will remain with the company until March.

Devro PLC - Glasgow, Scotland-based producer of collagen products such as sausage casings - Hires Rikke Mikkelsen as independent non-executive director, starting December 1. Mikkelsen is a Danish national who leads the Global Centre of Excellence for Chocolate & Confectionary and the European Customer Innovation team at AAK AS, which specialises in plant-based oils. Rikke replaces Chantal Cayuela, who steps down as a non-executive director "on personal grounds", having joined the board only in January.

Dalata Hotel Group PLC - Dublin-based hotel operator in Ireland and UK - Confirms Dermot Crowley has succeeded Pat McCann as CEO from Monday. McCann had founded Dalata back in 2007, and Crowley had been deputy CEO.

Byotrol PLC - Chester, England-based antimicrobial technologies - Seeking full-time chief financial officer as part-time CFO Nic Hellyer plans to resign from the end of December. Also notes that Rick Hayman, head of Byotrol's Professional division and managing director of Medimark Scientific Ltd, which Byotrol bought at the start of 2020, has left the company but remains a shareholder.

Jaywing PLC - Sheffield, England-based data-driven advertising and marketing agency - Caroline Ackroyd will step down as CFO in April of next year "in order to pursue new opportunities". Jaywing now will search for a new CFO.

Cambridge Cognition Holdings PLC - Cambridge, England-based digital neuroscience - CFO Michael Holton steps down immediately to "focus on other opportunities", having joined the company only in January. Nick Walters, Cambridge Cognition's former CFO, will support the company while it looks for a replacement.

UP Global Sourcing Holdings PLC - Manchester-based consumer brands owner known as Ultimate Products - Graham Screawn will retire as CFO in the second half of 2022, having joined UP as finance director back in 2010. Has begun process to find successor.

Scotgold Resources Ltd - gold and silver explorer and producer in Scotland - Nat Le Roux steps down as non-executive chair, having held the post since 2015, but will remain a non-executive director. Scotgold promotes Non-Executive Director Peter Hetherington to chair, effective immediately. Hetherington was CEO of contracts-for-difference trading platform IG Group Holdings PLC until 2018.

Serabi Gold PLC - gold miner in Brazil - Roney Almeida steps down as chief operating officer, while Helio Tavares joins on Monday as general manager of Projects & Operations. Tavares will report to CEO Mike Hodgson. He will be responsible for operations at the Palito complex and oversee the development and construction of the Coringa gold mine. Tavares returns to Serabi for the second time, having been part of the team that originally developed the Palito mine in 2004. He then returned to Serabi in 2013 and served as general manager for five years.

President Energy PLC - operated assets in South America - Notes that subsidiary Atome Energy PLC, a green hydrogen and ammonia production company that President plans to spin-out as a separate listing on AIM in London, names Olivier Mussat as CEO. Mussat was chief investment officer for Global Energy at the International Finance Corp, part of the World Bank. President Energy calls general meeting of shareholders for November 18 to approve the dividend in specie of the shares it holds in Atome Energy.

Camellia PLC - Linton, England-based agricultural production firm - Appoints Stephen Buckland as non-executive director from Monday. Buckland had worked in Camellia's agricultural and banking businesses. He is a trustee of Camellia Foundation, a UK charity whose primary donor is the ultimate majority shareholder of Camellia with a 52% stake.

Filtronic PLC - Leeds-based antenna maker - Hires Jonathan Neale as non-executive chair, starting November 15. Neale replaces Reg Gott, who retired at the company's annual general meeting last week. Neale has been chief operating officer of McLaren Group for the past five years, having been CEO of McLaren Racing F1 prior. Before McLaren, he was with defence contractor BAE Systems PLC.

Invinity Energy Systems PLC - London-based flow battery maker - Hires Kristina Peterson as non-executive director, starting immediately. Peterson is an investment banker, who worked in the power and telecommunications teams at ABN Amro Bank NV and Citibank, part of Citigroup Inc.
