(Alliance News) - Condor Gold PLC said on Friday that Non-Executive Director Jim Mellon purchased 50,000 shares and now has a 16% interest in the company.
Mellon bought the shares at 23.00 pence each, GBP11,500 altogether, in a transaction on Thursday.
The non-executive owns a direct and indirect shareholding of 14.7 million shares, representing 16% of the company.
Condor said 11.8 million shares are held by Galloway Ltd, a unit of Burnbrae Group Ltd, an asset management firm owned by Mellon.
Mellon also a direct interest in 2.9 million shares.
Shares in Condor were 2.0% higher at 23.20 pence each in London on Friday morning.
