Chamberlin's Walsall Foundry Awarded Most Improved Supplier Title

Wed, 29th Jun 2016 08:41

LONDON (Alliance News) - Specialist castings and engineering group Chamberlin PLC on Wednesday said it will now be automatically included in quoting for all future bearing house opportunities, after having been awarded "Most Improved Supplier" for its Walsall foundry at a recent supplier conference in Germany.

Chamberlin said one of its major customers IHI Europe Ltd had awarded its foundry the title, which was significant in that "it means that Chamberlin will now be automatically included in quoting for all future bearing housing opportunities in addition to supporting IHI Europe's technical requirements for the foreseeable future".

Chamberlin's Walsall operations, in the West Midlands of England, currently supply over 1.6 million parts to IHI Europe, worth around GBP7.0 million per year, the company said, and the level of enquiries from the company have been "steadily as the foundry has improved its performance".

Shares in Chamberlin were untraded on Wednesday, having last traded at 51.25 pence.
