Codemasters Group Holdings PLC - video game developer and publisher - Confirms that it is in discussions with Take-Two Interactive Software Inc regarding a possible offer for the company. Codemasters says it has secured an offer of 485 pence per share, comprising 120p per share in cash and 365p per share payable in Take-Two shares. It is the current intention of the board of Codemasters to recommend unanimously that Codemasters' shareholders accept the possible offer.
Separately, the company confirms the release of DIRT 5 for the PlayStation 4 computer entertainment system, the Xbox One family of devices including the Xbox One X, and PC. The game will also be released on the next generation of consoles, Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5, which are launching on Tuesday and Thursday next week, respectively. The Google Stadia version is also expected to launch in early 2021. "We are extremely proud of the game and are thrilled that it is finally available to players around the world," says Chief Executive Frank Sagnier.
