The toys, games and giftware company, Character Group says its year end results will meet market expectations.The firm, which produces branded toys such as Peppa Pig, Bob the Builder and Fireman Sam, says it felt obliged to update investors amidst the current economic gloom.In a nod to what many believe will be a tough winter, Character says it will operate stricter stock control ahead of Christmas, which will limit total sales but will protect cash flow.The company's share buy back programme will continue and final results are expected to be published at the end of November.Despite this attempt to quell inestors' fears, shares in Character fell 8% in morning trading.BS
