LONDON (Alliance News) - Clean Air Power Ltd Thursday said that its US Genesis-EDGE Dual-Fuel test engine has passed all of the emission requirements in internal testing, a step forward in the company's product achieving Environmental Protection Agency certification.
The company, which develops Dual-Fuel engine management software for heavy duty vehicles, said the test engine will now be transferred to the US for formal and independent testing by Ricardo Inc.
It said the results of both sets of tests will form the basis for an application for EPA certification, a key requirement ahead of the launch of the engine in the US, expected later this year.
"Whilst there remain further hurdles to overcome the results give me confidence that our engine will achieve EPA certification paving the way for the launch of the product in the US," said Chief Executive John Pettitt in a statement.
Clean Air Power shares were down 1.6% Thursday morning, trading at 5.78 pence.
