Dec 12 (Reuters) - BT Group shares fell over 4% on Tuesday, with traders linking the drop to British communications regulator Ofcom proposing a ban on mid-contract price hikes linked to inflation.
BT did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Shares in Vodafone were down 0.9% and Telefonica , which owns British telecom services provider O2 UK, was down 5.4%, as its shares traded ex dividend in Madrid. (Reporting by Danilo Masoni; Editing by Amanda Cooper)
