The FTSE Small Cap index and the junior-listed FTSEAIM All Share Index trade flat, outperforming a 0.4percent weaker FTSE 250 mid-cap index and a 0.2 percentfall on the blue-chip FTSE 100 index.
B.P. Marsh, a venture capital provider to earlystage financial services businesses, rises 2.6 percent afterproviding a positive update and giving details of threetransactions.
"Looking further out, the group has seen a number of newbusiness opportunities and is in continuing discussions with anumber of these. In our view the shares have fallen too far, andwhilst we maintain our 155 pence target price, we have upgradedour recommendation to "buy" from "hold"," Panmure Gordonanalysts write in a note.
Avanti Communications rises 4.9 percent after thesatellite operator says it has signed a three-year agreement tosupply "3G IP backhaul" services to Vodafone.
