British Polythene Industries Confident It Is On Track For Expectations

Mon, 21st Dec 2015 11:21

LONDON (Alliance News) - British Polythene Industries PLC on Monday said it remains confident that its business is "on course" to meet its expectations for 2015.

The polythene film producer said raw costs increased in November and again in December, with a forecast for further increases early next year.

In a trading update in November the company said said it would meet expectations for 2015 despite a fall in volumes, but at that time warned that it might have to make up to 90 redundancies as it restructures some of its production facilities.

On Monday, British Polythene said that its trading remained consistent with its update in November.

British Polythene will announce its 2015 results on February 29.

Shares in British Polythene were down 1.8% at 685.75 pence Monday morning.
