HOUSTON, July 9 (Reuters) - Privately-held energyexploration and production company Talos Energy LLC said onTuesday that it expects a well leaking natural gas andcondensate into the Gulf of Mexico would be shut within 24hours.
Talos said it was working to permanently shut thenon-producing well, located 74 miles (120 km) south of PortFourchon, Louisiana, on Monday, when saltwater carrying a smallamount of natural gas and condensate flowed to the surface.
The company evacuated the platform at the well and shut twonearby wells. (Reporting by Erwin Seba)
