DOW JONES NEWSWIRES Observers reported a sheen and tar balls in Louisiana's Lake Pontchartrain on Monday, the Deepwater Horizon Unified Response team said in a statement. Crews deployed about 600 feet (200 meters) of boom to prevent more oil from getting into the lake, the statement said. It said 19 manual skimming vessels and four decontamination were dispatched to the reported oiled areas, and cleanup operations were conducted throughout the day. Cleanup crews had collected 1,020 pounds (462 kilograms) of tar balls and waste, and collected oil is being tested to determine if came from the BP PLC (BP) Deepwater Horizon wellhead, the statement said.
