HOUSTON, Dec 14 (Reuters) - A 60,000 barrel per day (bpd)reformer was approaching full production levels on Monday afterrestarting on Sunday at BP Plc's 413,500 bpd Whiting,Indiana, refinery, said sources familiar with plant operations.
The reformer, which is called the Ultraformer and convertsrefining byproducts into high-octance gasoline components, wasshut due to a valve malfunction on Thursday, sources toldReuters last week.
