Bankers Investment Trust PLC - aims for capital growth in excess of the FTSE World Index and annual dividend growth ahead of inflation - Reports a net asset value per share of 112.3 pence at April 30, compared to 113.0p at the same time a year prior. Total NAV return in the year ended April 30 is 1.5%. This compares to a total return of 3.2% for the FTSE World Index in the same period. In the six months ended April 30, Bankers' total NAV return is 8.1%. This compares to a total NAV return of 3.5% for the FTSE World Index in the same period. Explains its portfolio benefited as equity markets fared better than last year. "We remain relatively cautious in our outlook but optimistic that our improved performance can continue," the company says.
