Only three of British Airway's 77 scheduled flights from Heathrow is running as normal, Unite, the union behind a three-day strike at the airline, said today.In an update at 10am, Unite, which represents cabin crew at BA, said that a further 37 of the scheduled flights have been empty, while 37 are ready to go although 'BA do not know if they will have crew to fly them, or in fact customers.'However, BA denies the allegations and says that it had been moving more than 60% of its customers every day, in line with contingency plans. It claims that many staff crossed picket lines over the weekend, with 98% going to work at Gatwick airport and 53% turning up at Heathrow. In an address to union members this morning, Unite joint general secretary Tony Woodley said the strike was 'costing the company a fortune - hundreds of planes are grounded.'The three-day strike is due to end today, but staff are to strike for another four days from March 27.
