Last checked at (Sharecast News) - Diagnostics and cancer therapy developer Avacta Group announced on Monday that the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) has confirmed registration of its 'AffiDX' SARS-CoV-2 antigen lateral flow test for Covid-19, allowing it to place the product on the market in the UK for professional use.
The AIM-traded firm said lateral flow antigen tests are intended to provide a cost-effective and rapid means of identifying individuals with a high viral load, that means they were more likely to infect others.
It said the clinical data for its AffiDX antigen lateral flow test reported in April demonstrated 100% sensitivity for identifying infectious individuals with viral loads measured by PCR of Ct

Avacta moves to next dose in first-in-human chemotherapy trial
(Sharecast News) - Clinical-stage oncology drug company Avacta announced on Thursday that the first-in-human phase 1 trial of 'AVA6000' pro-doxorubicin would advance to the next dose cohort, following a positive review of the safety data from the dosing of the first cohort.
