Arbuthnot Names Henderson As Chief Of Latham Private Banking Arm

Thu, 14th Apr 2016 14:22

LONDON (Alliance News) - Arbuthnot Banking Group PLC on Thursday named Ian Henderson, a former chief executive officer of Kensington Mortgages and Shawbrook Bank, as the chief executive of its Latham private banking arm.

James Fleming, the previous chief executive of Latham, is now the private bank's vice-chairman.

The changes mean Henderson will take Fleming's place on Arbuthnot's board. Fleming will continue on the Latham board.

Henderson was previously head of strategic business development and chief executive officer of personal lending and mortgages at Secure Trust Bank PLC, in which Arbuthnot has a 52% stake.

"Arbuthnot Latham has grown significantly. The changes to the boards of Arbuthnot Banking Group and Arbuthnot Latham will enable the bank to continue its growth and at the same time broaden the business," Henry Angest, chairman and chief executive of Arbuthnot Banking Group, said in a statement.

Shares in Arbuthnot were up 0.9% at 1,414.72 pence on Thursday afternoon.
