LONDON (Alliance News) - Akers Biosciences Inc Tuesday said it has recruited and deployed a full-time sales and marketing team across the US, following on from its listing on Nasdaq last year.
In a statement, the healthcare screening and testing company said the new team will be led by newly appointed Executive Vice President, Sales and Marketing, John C. Cheneva, who formerly worked for Johnson & Johnson, Novartis AG and Genoptix Inc.
It has also appointed former Merck executive Christopher Ellis as its vice president, global marketing.
"The company has recruited multiple experienced full-time medical product sales representatives in order to focus extensively on growing US sales of the company's flagship PIFA Heparin/PF4 Rapid Assay products. Our full-time sales representatives are based in strategic locations across the U.S. including San Diego, New York City, Dallas, St. Louis and Orlando," it said.
Akers Biosciences' AIM-listed shares were down 1.8% at 248.00 pence early Tuesday.
