LONDON (Alliance News) - Aminex PLC on Monday said the Egyptian Ministry of Petroleum has declared the South Malak-2 well at the West Esh el Mellaha-2 concession in the country a discovery well.
Tests on the well showed production flow rates of around 430 barrels per day.
Aminex has a 10% effective interest in the West Esh el Mellaha concession through its shareholding in Aminex Petroleum Egypt Ltd. It has a 12.5% stake in the company, which has an 80% stake in the concession.
Shares in Aminex were up 2.7% to 2.08 pence on Monday.
