Hi, just been reading over on ADVFN people saying these shares are going to return to trading soon. Selftrade and Halifax holders have had an update from their broker. I don't know if this is all 100% correct, only passing on what I have read.

Hi shibs, best let CMR tell it officially as I would only be accused of "fiction". Lets say it is not bad news!! You have been patient for 18 months now so another week or two won't matter.

Hiya all An web/internet site has been opened, probably supplied or hosted by Bluecrest, on the Quintana mine. You can get details from the iii investors site. It refers to the site being staffed, and being run by named managers. It's a rubbish internet site! Looks like a poor effort to me, and not the result of proffessional work by a wealthy mine company. Nevertheless, it implies the Quintana/CMR relationship is over. Check it out for yourself. If CMR re-emerges (very unlikely in my opinion now)it will be based upon the other projects that CMR had prior to Quintana going "Operational". Anyone got any other news?

Well it looks as though CMR are back to their old self again. Letter to the Shareholders said that an AGM is expected to be by September 2010. I have enquired recently and it will NOT be by September, and probably somewhere by middle of October now, (that is unless it gets put back even further again)

Well I had a call from HSBC Invest Direct today.. very agressive and at 10am on Friday morning insisting the rights issue had to be completed by midday to be valid. 1 new share for every 4 shares held so I took up the offer as it was such a low cost. Quite a few releases came out yesterday on the website.. http://cambmin.co.uk/

evJon - I got a letter from my broker but decided just to leave it, wouldn't have cost much for the shares I have but I want to see what direction it takes after relisting. Best of luck.

I have no interest in this company, but have been asked to do some research for a close friend, which I have. He has some useless CMR shares, and is pondering the £750 offer, which he can ill afford right now. I have just spent a fascinating day doing as much research as I can. I am a retired small investor, and I am polishing up my "due dilligence" and research skills, I have no other interest. The only piece of new info that I have found, other than what is here already, is this..... http://www.bwagroupplc.com/Announcements/BWA%20Investment%20in%20Harrogate%2024%2008%2010.pdf And also that Harrogate's last project was a company called Axiom Software, who they have sold back to the management. And on Yahoo I read that they are looking for their "next project". The BWA document indicates that they want to raise £500k for a feasibility study for the Spanish Mine. My only comment is that extraction costs will be much higher in Europe than in say S America, although less corruption in Europe. I also commented to my friend that although CMR haven't filed accounts since 07, the existing accounts filed are highly detailed, and leave me in no doubt that they are a "proper" company, involved in resource development. But it is Oh so high risk! You either make a killing, or you lose most if not all. I have little doubt that Harrogate/Iberian will list, as they will have no other option to raise the capital required for production. And that is the stage at which to really decide - who are the directors, how much exposed, who else has invested? With metals and resources on a tear and set to continue as the USA destroys the economy as we know it, CMR/Harrogate will be banking on being snapped up by a proper mining company, and this will only happen if they have genuinely proven licenses and geology. You can only find this out from a third party research company, of the type that exist in the USA - like Casey Research and John Doody, who do extensive research into small cap mining operations and have a good track record of picking winners, in what is a highly competitive and technical arena. I am unsure what research outfits exist on this side of the Atlantic. Maybe worth exploring. IMHO the CMR/Harrogate/Iberian thing is either a last ditch attempt to survive, or the start of something exciting. At least you are dealing with local companies under a decent regulatory framework. It was also interesting to find that at one point last year, they tried to sell the Spanish Mine operation to a Nevada based direct marketing company for $19m in shares and cash. I suspect this was also a last ditch affair, the intention would have been for the Nevada company to raise money by high pressure internet sales techniques, of the sort that we all get daily in our inboxes. This is not necessarily a bad thing as this is an accepted way of raising capital in the US....anybody interested, look at a US mining company called AMOK and how their shares have jumped and pulled back with volume, against the frequency of internet marketing campaigns! (IMO AMOK is a scam.....) For the record, I have faith in the sector, but my money is in ETF's and Funds with a proven track record in selection of small cap mining outfits, based on the track record of their people, geology and other research. I offer this posting on the basis that having done the work for my friend, others might find it useful. Good luck with CMR Ron

Hi Guys, just to wish you all a good Christmas. CMR has let us all down, but with their recent about turn in the communication dept I thought we were actually "on our way" to a remarkable survival, but it has all gone quiet again and even my positive thinking has sunk to all time lows with so much to loose. Come on CMR, surprise us and relist and start trading again in 2011. GLA

I have contact the company recently after hearing "rumours". It looks as though a relist will not happen. Two possibilities, (1) all assets to be sold individually, creditors to be paid off (including directors salaries), and what is left over split between the shareholders. (2) an offer to buy CMR in its entirety from another company. It does look as this is as good as it is going to get, so we now have to hope that either any one of the two possibilities above does happen.

Not according to the website the 05 DEC AGM was postponed. 02 December 2011 Due to significant corporate developments the AGM has been adjourned and will be reconvened no later than the end of January 2012. http://www.cambmin.co.uk/

Hello evJon, Can assure you the AGM did take place at the specified venue and at the specified time documented on the Letter to the Shareholders dated 11th November 2011. Below is copied from iii channel pirate - 5 Dec'11 - 17:01 - 16758 of 16758 I did manage to get to the Cambridge AGM today, you know, the one that the Iberian Directors cancelled !! The Board comprised of Mr Newman (CMR Director), Mr Slater, Mr Robins, (both Iberian and CMR Directors), and Mr Burton, CMR Director only. Also present was Allianz and the two biggest private investors that CMR have, besides CMR Broker, Registrar, and other concerned shareholders. The meeting was conducted in a civilised manner, and there was no shouting, spitting, kicking or fighting. On a serious note, then Mr Philip Newman convened the Meeting at 09-31. It was then stated by Mr Newman immediately, that as a result of certain critical developments affecting the Company and it’s business, the directors had decided to recommend and propose that this AGM should be immediately adjourned until a date to be advised but no later than 31st January 2012. The Iberian Directors then spoke about how good they have been doing with “this and that” and if it were not for them CMR would already be history. CMR shareholders then countered by reminding those Directors how inefficient and unsuccessful they had been and that we (CMR) have still not received our Iberian shares which was a part of the sale conditions of Lomero-Poyatos to Iberian. A vote was then taken regarding the adjournment, and it was “no contest” the meeting would NOT be adjourned. With that, Mr Newman stated he would resign immediately there and then, followed by Mr Slater and Mr Robins saying the same. Mr Newman and Mr Robins left the meting immediately. Mr Burton took the “chair” and continued with the meeting. ALL Resolutions, other than the Resigned Directors Resolutions were duly voted on, and a UNANEMOUS vote to each remaining Resolution was passed. Without me going on in detail about other matters, then it was agreed a meeting of major shareholders would be convened in the very near future to discuss the strengthening of the B.O.D. and discuss the next action for your Company. WATCH THIS SPACE AS THEY SAY.
