CMR

Central Africa Gold (CAN) relisted today and immediately gained 50% on suspension SP with no news. If CMR can re-list and produce a decent rns simultaneously we could all be in for nice rise.

Posted a letter of complaint to Blue crest today. Asked them to declare their future intentions. Wot chance I will get any info?

HI all Just discovered that N Machlallan has resigned as Director. Is this related to what is going on re Blue Crest? What is your opinion?

No real opinion gutsache, but director resignations have done FML no harm this week ..... up 400% at one stage. Pity CMR didn't re-list earlier this week as a lot of junior miners in a simailar position to CMR have really flown during the course of the week. I'm starting to get a bit jittery as I was under the impression that the only block on re-listing was the appointment of a new NOMAD and I thought CMR had found one !

Any New NOMAD would not want to "come aboard" with this Bluecrest saga still not sorted, so as soon as Bluecrest will accept the their financial settlement demand then new NOMAD will be aboard and CMR will be relisted. Progress on all fronts is being made but as the Bluecrest spies are watching all the BB's then it would not be wise to post exactly where CMR are now. We were told back along there will be much "choppy water" along the road to recovery, and due to the deplorable way Bluecrest are acting then unfortunately it is taking longer than anyone would like. CMR HAVE offered the fully financial demand, but Bluecrest it seems do not want the money after all, they would like Quintana. Moves are afoot to reconcile this situation. CMR will survive IMO.

Bluecrest are just a two bob hedge fund management company, what would they do with a gold mine ?

This definitely seems to have slipped down hill a little. At the moment its all wind and water and speculation which makes it difficult for anyone to come onboard to the company. I am sure progress is being made but is it 1 step forward 2 steps back ? Its difficult when they are not listed and I cant see anything on this happening during the summer. I have seen "soon" "almost ready" and how "much choppy water" can we expect. We are almost in May... If BC dont want money but want Quintana they surely get what they want... they hold the purse strings. That said they could have scuttled CMR in JAN but havent.

How gullible am I? I thought FSA were supposed to oversee fair play in situations like this!

What is fair play ? CMR didnt pay what they had to so BC have them over a barrel... If this is the scenario BC dont "have" to do anything they dont want to..within reason of course...

hope this gets relisted soon my RBS shares finally went into profit today, shame the Blackhole of CMR is sucking all the profits into it. however, even though I have no info to what is really going on behind the scenes I am relatively confident for some reason. this might be a stupid question but would there be anything stopping CMR securing finance from a company other than BC? (bar the global credit crunch)

The longer it takes to sort out CMRs current problem, the less faith the market will have in them when they re-list.

Heno614 - Edging closer to that day though. Lots going on behind the scenes. Bluecrest, although they have given CMR a settlement figure, do not want the money, but would rather have Quintana, and are trying their best to get it. CMR know the mine is worth fighting for, and in the interest of the shareholders will fight to retain it.

I sent another email to Mike Burton asking for another update. I must have caught him on a bad day as he sent a rather abrupt reply along the lines of 'Check out our website'. It's just a pity that they don't update the website !

Hi all you patient and maligned cmr investors! Has anyone tried to arrange a meet with the Directors(s) at cmr on a non confrontational basis? Isn't it reasonable that investors in a company should be able to meet up with staff in situations other than shareholder meets, or from the sidelines at investor events like "minesite"? Especially small outfits like cmr? I think I will try it....call me naive and innocent...but I will get back to you all on how succesful I am!! LOL

Hi gutsache - wish you luck with your meting if you get the oportunity. I think it would depend on where we live in relation to London, assuming the Directors would meet any of us at their registered office. MB does a lot of meetings in London, but I understand that CA lives in Ireland. As I live 150 miles from London, and a fair few more than that to Ireland, then a telephone call is less expensive than a journey to London or Ireland. I have talked to MB recently, but as usual then one step forward and two steps back seems to be the answer to all the questions if you read between the lines.

A little birdie has indicated it might be two steps forward and only one backwards in the very near future. Watch this space as they say. I am off soon for 10 days holiday so sorry if I can't post for a couple of weeks, but lets say I hope to come back to some good news !!. (where have I heard that before ?) HI all On the 9th of June I sent an email to CMR re the possibility of meeting with shareholders, outside of normal arrangements. Sceptics wished me good luck. Today I got a reply......!! Here it is; Dear Mr. Gutsell Thank you for your email. Apologies for delay in replying. You raise an interesting point. In view of the fairly momentous developments in the first half of this year, it could have been useful to meet shareholders face-to-face, so to speak, however it was not possible for various reasons. However, I think that in view of the fact that we will be having our AGM in the next few months, in the near term this will be the best forum for shareholders to meet the directors. Its funny I had a mail yesterday replying to my original email on the 8th MAY... Just saying.. check the front page of the site for info just released... Last release was 16th May. I think someone is clearing their mail folder... and I think its before they leave for good as the site is now showing 404 errors and definitely not looking legitimate.

evJon - to ease your mind about the 404 errors you state is showing on the web-site. This "404" is a computer code number on a current defunct Investor Relations sub-section of the web-site, so nothing to panic about. Secondly, would you paste the reply from CMR on here to your original e-mail of the 8th May. I can get this cleared up for you, again easing your concerns of what you "think" is happening. There are things happening as you state, but you may be pleasantly surprised to know that they are for the good and not the worst. I look forward to seeing your reply from CMR, and then I can get the content clarified so as you and any other shareholders you may have worried, feel easier. It is possible you may be misinterpreting the content, so hopefully lets allay your fears. SH

SH... the 404 happening on a site is ALWAYS a concern. It means they are no longer keeping an eye on the website as they should.. no matter what the reason, someone should have picked up on this. The IR webpages are supplied at a cost by Hemscott. CMR in order to save money and in line with the current situation (why pay for service you are not using presently) have decided to cease this subscription with a view to bringing delivery of future content in house.

Indeed, which indicates problems if they have done it so rapidly as to foresake their website presence.... SH dont worry I really dont care much for anything other than fact... I am sure you can try and spin it any way you want but DYOR .. I Have...and I think its safe to say looking through past posts you are way to optimistic and I am way to realistic.

Am I right in thinking that after 6 months suspension AIM companies are automatically de-listed ..... its nearly 4 months and counting !

evJon, why would that indicate a problem? Sure I wouldn't pay for a service I wasnt using? Would you? The company is being funded by the Directors right now and prudence is what's needed. Have you spoke to the company at all recently. I have and although there is a mountain of red tape, due dilligence and negotiation to get through on both the Spanish asset sale and the Quintana saga. I feel, at the least, everything is being done to ensure both CMR and it's investors get the right result. According to some on other BB's this maybe close! FWIW Mike Burton is a pleasant accommodating bloke, should you speak to him. DYOR!

O.K. evJon, have relayed your message back to Mike Burton and advised him to get on with things of more importance. You may be right I look to be too optimistic with the information that has been published, but lets say I am party to information that has not yet come into public domain, and that is because I spend hours doing research, and passing it on to CMR in order they can act on it if appropriate, for the benefit of us all, including yourself. I cannot detail what I have done / found out / and put into place, as to do so would jeopardize actions that ARE happening, but I can assure you that if you are still a CMR shareholder, you will be happy later on. Seeing my posts seem to "niggle" you a bit, then I will refrain from posting any more and just get on and help all "behind the scenes". Can I ask you a question though - what have YOU done to help find a solution to CMR's present situation ??

Ok this seems to be going a bit like a flaming session and I dont like it so lets ease up and stay friendly.. I think we all want the same end goal. I work differently and focus on fact and reaction and planning.. I love facts/figures and something I can work with which is probably why this one is so infuriating at the moment. Pisgah - when your public image starts falling apart i.e website it is never a good sign. Many companies which fold start with just this kind of thing..Yes they are cutting costs which is good but keep it clean and professional which is EASY and currently not reflected in the site. If thats overlooked what else is. SH - Your posts I understand but you need to realise if you cant post fact do not mention it as it is in the same ballpark as ramping and comes across badly. Opinion is great too of course but when its in moderation and clear. In Regards your last comment... a solution to CMR is not my problem.. I dont work for the company and I doubt anything I or you could do would make much difference to them. You may feel you are in bed with CMR and working closely in which case this forum if probably not the place for you to post in relation to that.
