Peel Hunt Share Price (PEEL)

Peel Hunt have been quite vocal of late in the press about the need for the FCA and the LSE to bring about change resulting in the London markets being more competitive or risk London becoming like the Irish exchange! Even Shell is making noises about considering listing options as they believe London market undervalues the company.

DYOR, It may be prudent to maintain a stop loss, either under the previous trough, or with a multiple of the average true range indicator.

The equity initially fell from IPO, sp, 177.5, until bottomed on 1/12/22, at 78.5. The sp, then rallied to a high of 119, on 5/5/23. Importantly, the sp, subsequently fell to 80, on 2/11/23, before rallying, to create a large double bottom price formation, encompassing a period of 11 months. The price difference between the high of 119 and the low of 80(39), when added to the high of 119, provides a future price target of 158. The mentioned high of 119, was broken above on 24/1/24, at sp, 120.5, which is defined as a bullish price pivot break. The 24/1/24 high of 120.5, has itself become another bullish pivot break upward. Technical analysis theory, gives greater weight to equities, like PEEL, which have sizeable congestion price formation, because the assumption is that greater volume accumulation occurs, leading to more fuel, for subsequent rally.

This stock is (I think) down about 60+% from its IPO a couple of years ago. Dont think it ever traded above its IPO price, which is pretty shocking for a company that is meant to be an IPO specialist!

They would have therefore upset a lot of their own institutional clients who supported their IPO but...time has passed...

I remember some talk a few years ago about a Euro Bank looking to maybe buy them. The Government is looking to stimulate small company growth (critical for the UK as a whole). So maybe time for a nibble and lock it away for a couple of years ? Would welcome informed thoughts.

The biggest shareholder has a knack of making money. Yes this stock looks all over a sell , but don't bet against Darren C. He knows far more than we do. Fair play if they do back a winner here , as its not a small stakes game.
