Every Gold Miner started with nothing but a hope or a dream. Some have turned into Multi Billion Dollar companies , others have failed and gone skint. Kefi maybe an exception , its reserves maybe larger than estimated and its cost to mine might be cheaper than the rest of the market. Unlikely but possible. If this company has all the luck going forward , its stock price could be 100 times higher in less than 10 years , however you might lose your shirt. Your in the big casino now and the dice roll every day. As Clint Eastwood once said , "Do you Feel Lucky Punk?"
The biggest shareholder has a knack of making money. Yes this stock looks all over a sell , but don't bet against Darren C. He knows far more than we do. Fair play if they do back a winner here , as its not a small stakes game.
Legal and General along with M&G make up 35% of my Sipp. I am now thinking of dumping some of my other holdings and loading right up on the pair of them again. I can't believe how low these are now trading. L&G below £2.50 is cheap and M&G below £2.10 is cheap. Don't know when as Markets can be stubborn , but these 2 stocks will hit prices far in excess of 30% of where they are now , plus they pay a fat dividend. Good Luck
Now Holding well north of 30,000 shares of MNG at an average price of 1.70. Me thinks this should be a £3.00 stock anyway. If i keep reinvesting the Dividends over the next 10 years , even if the SP does nothing this should prove to be a great investment.
LGEN will be down tomorrow unless someone bids for the company. How Much - Nobody knows anywhere between 18p and 6p Down would be a range that would cater for the majority of Financial Conditions we may face tomorrow. My guess is it will close down 12p on the day - but let's see. I don't sweat anymore on LGEN as I own it at such a low average price with the div's reinvested twice a year. I own a lot of shares at an average price of 98Pence , and somehow I don't see LGEN getting anywhere near that.
Gold miners make money when their asset increases in price. Gold has moved from the low $1,800 to over $2,000 in a short space of time. Poly says it does not hedge its Gold , so sells on the open market. Well the Open Market has never been so high , therefore Poly should now be making more money than it ever has in the past. We will just have to wait and see , If this is NOT positive then we all need to dump this stock. However If I suspect its a massive positive then what's to stop this going to £5.00 or beyond?
I might be wrong but I believe Poly's debt is around $2,500,000,000 (Yes $2.5 Billion). Well even at an ultra low interest rate of 5% , that's spunking $125,000,000 per year.
If the price is right , nobody minds getting taken over. However a debt free company will hold a greater premium as all investors can see is profit, especially in the mining space. So when a 25% to 30% premium to the SP may be needed to take over an indebted company , you may need to fork out 50%+ maybe more for one who has no debt.
Remember as a shareholder , do you want to see $20 Million Lost on Interest Payments each year , or would you rather that distributed amongst the shareholders?
Echo1 , I am with you. Unfortunately this site is full up with serial losers , who think they know how the war will pan out , and in turn how that will effect Poly. Well its pretty obvious that most of them are clueless , as the simple fact is nobody knows how it will pan out. All you can do Is take a educated guess , and if peace comes , slowly but surely Poly's price will rise , but only if Gold is performing above its "Cost To Mine". So I will use a simple rule of thumb , Gold below $1,700 is Not Good for Poly. Anything Above $1,850 is Good , and $1,950 or more is fantastic. If we can hit and hold $2,000 per ounce then Poly should be able to repay its debt within 5 to 7 years. Profits will become huge and therefore Divi's magnificent. Eventually the war will end , as Putin won't live forever.
Poly will eventually be valued on the costs of Mining Gold versus the Price of Gold. Gold price is moving higher , Logic dictates Poly will be worth more.
Blue - You will be proved to be so wrong as you are clueless as to what drives the Gold Price.
L+G ain't going away , it makes plenty of profit and should be north of £3.00. If this was a US stock it would be nearer a tenner than a fiver. However it will soon go ex-div and a nice payout of 13.93pence per share is coming. I reinvest all my dividends and I will be buying another 5K's worth of L+G. I have an average price of £1.87 and this Div will lower it more. So I know it sounds non-sensical but I want L+G's price lower , so I can buy MORE shares with the cash reinvested. In 10 years from now , when I am hitting the sell button , I want the price to be at its all time high but for now a lower price does not scare me.
Buyers snapping this up - Bigtime and Why Not? Probably the cheapest stock out there.
Oracle - Nice one - that's what we call sitting on the fence. Yo if it's up and Yo if it's down. Embarrassing really.
If anyone really knew the answer they could make a fortune. At the moment bar a few people (who tend to keep their gob shut) really knows. I trade this on instinct , My firm belief is that this is way way undervalued and can only go up.
We seem to have the same OLD faces posting total garbage on this stock , many times a day. However they never seem to admit the own or short it. I intend to shut them up for good, as I am fed up with the crap they are posting. Let me set my stall straight, I am long POLY for a six figure sum at current prices. I don't like losing money , and this seems to be a tradeable stock that can go 5 to 8 times higher , very quickly.
So for all the Blues and the like - please go away - you are a distraction
Share Holders may become holders of a Poly GDR???, without a shareholder meeting / approval. Me thinks this can't happen - the current board do not hold enough shares to push this through without general shareholder approval.
Yes a GDR maybe coming - but the masses will have they're say first. Still a great stock - where the Price Of Gold Goes - the Price Of Poly Goes.
