Especially since a significant amount of earnings will be in USD. A good hedge share. Should be an interesting 12 months for ZTF, and target sp end '17 £3,50, or 32% gain.
Think there's a good future for this company, dropped today but lots of buys
there products are all oil derivivatives and bought in euros no slackening of demand and no major price reduction pressure some really high tech materials and useages from there unique product and a reliable dividend watch it go
That went well then ;-)
Zotefoams has had a great run recently and certainly for the last two months, don't know how high this will continue to go but at some point this will have to pullback and probably in the very near future. This has been a very good share for me.
beats me why this share is so unfashionable,
Good figures and well run company, covers the spec buys
all good then shal buy some more
I have a friend who deals daily with this company and they are a joke. Extended lead times - not being able to supply what their Customers want. They have been trying to in stall a new IT system for 6 mths now and supply is in chaos. Profits going down but share price going up. The need to get someone of note on the Board as the current incumbent acts like Nero - fiddling with new deals whilst existing core business crumbles under the heat. Also why are most of the Non -execs accountants?
Just got a bit on the news of china deal,,,we shall see
this shares has got to be ready for a rerate all materials bought in euros, based on the oil price,no brainer
great news for Zotefoams, keep it coming, the potential from Unilever alone could be huge.
Cheers, yes its been a good week for ZTF i'm glad I took a little punt, lets hope that it can continue. Have a good weekend think its time for a beer !!!
I hope you enjoyed the uplift today! Thanks for your reply - sorry for delay in acknowledging you. All the best with all your investments.
Thanks for the reply, wasn't sure if any one was still using this board. Personally I thought the price had bottomed out, and with the joint venture in Asia thought that would cancel out the shortfall of European orders. The board do seem positive that growth would resume in 2014. Your right it is possible to get more negative news but I thought this could be a good starting point for a bit of a recovery. Thanks again for your thoughts its always good to get someone else's opinion as it helps to keep your own balanced. Cheers PP
Not good, IMO. Two consecutive profit warnings.....don't they usually come in threes?
I'm thinking of investing in here, has anybody any thoughts or medium to long predictions. Cheers
£1.6M sold and £1.1M bought today
Good lord.. you've waited since August for a response! I did read your question a while ago, went and tried to find out, couldn't establish an answer and promptly forgot to post on this blog! So I'm sorry I've not got back to you. Yes, I think it would be quite relevant in the current economical climate of cutbacks to know about military contracts, but because I have confidence Zotefoams are unique in their products and are nicely spread throughout many industries, that I hope that any military cutbacks will have little effect.. I am a long term shareholder of Zotefoams and enjoyed some nice dividends and a continued profit on my portfolio, I hope I don't come across as ramping the share but I do think the company has potential to be very big. I'm looking to top up after the profit takers leave and it hits 180p (ish!) I've had quite a bit of luck in the past e mailing companies directly with questions, and as Zotefoams have a direct investors e mailing address, why not send them an e mail? I've not tried writing to them myself, but I'm sure you'll receive a comprehensive answer! I've pasted and copied the e mail address from their website: investorinfo@zotefoams.com Good luck, and here's hoping you'll soon become part of the Zotefoam family!
Good afternoon, been doing some research on ZTF and I am thinking of investing. One area of concern that I can't seem to find, does anyone on here know how much the military contracts make up of the revenue? Thanks in advance & GLA
N+1 Brewin maintained its "add" rating for Zotefoams (ZTF) with a target price of 200p. The foam blocks manufacturer reported first half sales growth of 9.9% to 24.8 million pounds, in-line with the broker's forecasts. Brewin noted that this included 80% growth from its High Performance Polymers division, driven by demand from the aerospace sector. The broker also has high hopes for the group's MuCell Extrusion business, which the group has invested heavily in and has formed a collaboration with Dow Performance Packaging. Shares in Zotefoams stayed flat at 175.5p.
"Dow has a great business relationship with MuCell and we look forward to creating the new portfolio together," said Greg Bunker, Associate Marketing Director at Dow. "Foaming films is an excellent route to more sustainable packaging by reducing the usage of resin by 10-20 percent. Through this agreement, both companies are demonstrating their commitment to create superior foamed products that have less impact on the environment. The results will help our customers address their sustainability platforms and develop low environmental impact technology." This agreement follows from a similar strategic agreement from earlier this year, wherein Dow and MuCell Extrusion LLC reached an agreement for MuCell Extrusion to exclusively license Dow's patent family on flat sheet resin technology. "We provide expertise in process development and equipment packages necessary to implement the technology, and Dow offers formulation expertise in resins to streamline the process. This agreement not only marries two steps in the value chain, supply and processing, but that all of the relevant intellectual property for both film and flat sheet resin technology has now been bundled into one source," said Mark Lindenfelzer, president of MuCell Extrusion LLC. "We have no doubt that this will be a successful venture for MuCell, Dow and our clients."
Dow and MuCell Extrusion LLC Enter Exclusive Agreement to License Dow's Foamed Films Patent Portfolio Collaboration will bring higher value to both companies' customer offerings Woburn, MA and Houston, TX - Aug. 6, 2012 - Dow Performance Packaging, a business unit of The Dow Chemical Company (NYSE: DOW), and MuCell Extrusion LLC, a 100% subsidiary of Zotefoams plc (LSE:ZTF), announced that MuCell will exclusively license Dow's Thin Foamed Films Patent family, using MuCell innovative Foaming technology to create physically foamed films for all film applications. This contract will further the two companies' relationship as innovation collaborators. The agreement not only eliminates existing confusion among potential customers as to patent and licensing obligations, but it also provides a clear demarcation of responsibilities for support of these foaming technologies. Dow will continue to offer resins specially formulated to optimize foaming results while MuCell will provide hands-on technology transfer equipment and technical support to customers.

Commenting on the results, Nigel Howard, Chairman, said: "During the first half of 2012 we have delivered a strong performance in sales and profit growth and operating cash generation. We have made good underlying progress in the higher-growth parts of our business such as HPP and Azote® foams in Asia, supported by a robust performance across the wider portfolio of our operations which will stand us in good stead for the future."
