I agree - it'll be interesting to watch this develop, although I wouldn't expect instantaneous results, I'm expecting significant gains medium to long term
New CEO due to start a week today. Let’s hope we see a positive reaction in the share price. I think it could be THE turning point for Zinc media.
It's been very up and down for BBSN so at least there has been opportunity to trade it. ZIN however has pretty much fallen consistently for well over a year.
Hopefully we will see a BBSN style rise for us this year. Just a little over 2 weeks to go until Mark Browning starts and I'm expecting him to do big things for us. Good luck all.
That I've made money from BBSN and losing badly here. After all that's the nature of the game.
Fallen by over a penny since their financials. CFO sold a chunk of shares after the results and their CEO quit today with immediate effect. Couple of red flags right there?!
Start of some much needed news flow here today. Good stuff! Looking forward to a fairly quick climb back into 0.6 territory, and beyond.
Just had a quick skim read of their financials from this morning. They don't look that impressive for saying they are valued at £20m.
ZIN appears to be undervalued in comparison. Only a few more weeks until Mark Browning starts. Hopefully plenty of good news in the pipeline this year...
Morning all. I bought some the other week, after mid year results. Company is in much better health, and very well placed to benefit if Apple announce their entry into content streaming services later today. There's a news event scheduled for 5pm today - so probably worth tuning in.
There aren't enough production companies to handle the content requirements of Netflix and Amazon as it is, at the moment. If Apple enter the fray, ZIN will do well. It's at the bottom, and well worth an investment, in my opinion.
been a huge disappointment over the long term with Ten Alps holders effectively wiped out. The company has a more substantial feel now so maybe the corner has finally been turned.
Now would be a good time for Directors to start buying some if they haven't already. They need to show some confidence for the future.
Seems positive things are said about him in the sector so it could bring investors in with him. The price bounced from the early lows so could be turning point
Welcome aboard Max2456. That’s good to know.
I worked for Mark at ITN Productions - I've bought shares in ZIN based on that alone. What he did with ITNP was impressive, building a profitable division from nearly scratch, chasing a huge pensions deficit. I've no doubt he'll do wonders with Zinc over the next few years.
For most shareholders here. I think the best we hope for is a takeover approach. GL
Exactly BMR if the impact Richard Farnborough's departure had, then Mark Browning should have a very large impact to Zinc considering what he proved at ITNP.
The sp made the same moves last year, I guess there is ££'s to be made by betting on its direction, as its not really that hard to influence that at the moment, its not rocket science, load up a few weeks before the interims, bet on its price dropping on the interims news day, which it has, it only takes a few sales & the sp drops, Today is one of those
days when lots of ££ is made at the bookies, its just so easy.
Of course thats just an opinion, I am holding on here, as you have to be quick & have the nerve, I am still looking forward to the Shenners 2.5p party.
I will now start studying how spread betting works !!
Good luck all
Agree - mark browning is going to be the game changer here- keep the faith
Could be worth holding on a little longer. I think Mark Browning will sort the company out. He'll know what needs to be done.
Failing that, if they win a large commission with Netflix it should create an opportunity to sell some.
Sadly not impressed at all... they need to close London as the margins are clearly not large enough. Hmmm seriously considering my position here

The report isn’t quite as good as expected but it ain’t too bad either...
Negatives:
Cash lower
Small loss for the period
Popular Factual not performing well
Digital business lost 50% of its revenues
Positives:
Order book very strong at £20.5m
Tern TV is turning out to be a real gem
Growth in international orders
Still in talks and pitching with Netflix and other SVODs
Company re-structures on-going to reduce overheads
Very strong board, soon to be headed up by Mark Browning, consisting of Will Sawyer, and Harry Bell
Sp been dropped on very thin volume.
It doesn't fill me with confidence given that results are likely due this week and we're only sitting just above the 52 week low.
Having said that, there's no reason that the results shouldn't be good. We've seen what Tern is capable of now and the rest of the business units seem to be doing well. It's possible that we've already done close to £20m in revenue in the first 6 months of the financial year. Full year 2018 was £21m.
Indeed they could land anytime now. I’m expecting a serious jump in turnover half year profits around 350/400k with full year profits around 1 mill. This would give us a cash position at the end of year around 4.5 mill. We now have many repeat series and more commissions flowing in from international broadcasters, these and a few other factors should all contribute to improved margins. Expecting exceptional performance from Tern somewhere in the region of 16/20 mill turnover at year end.
The last 2 years have been released on 15th March. So most probably released Thursday or Friday this week
movement in the right direction today. Last year the interim results were released mid-March so it's possible they might be out next week.
