I love the way the mm's keep shaking this, 2 of them pre market dropped from 8.75p offer to 8.5p making out they have stock to offer. I start at 250k and work my way down and all 1 has is 15k at 8.4p so I took it, total manipulating rubbish as always, they nearly always win the battles though because somebody will turn up out of nowhere and sell an d let them win. There is absolutely no stock out there. 15k NMS at 8.5p, I cannot keep buying more and more to push it others will have to buy or we wait for more positive news
The MMs ran out of stock a few weeks ago when I bought on the news that they were going to announce excellent results. It is slow to rise here but it does eventually. Patience is needed on this stock. Agree it should eventually go big. As zambeef is a relative big player on illiquid zambian market, you can also take the whole market up/down with not many share buys/sells.
Added another 30k and that is my lot, mm will just work together against me and drop the price on nothing to get others to sell out and they make their profit, they have already dropped their prices this morning just total manipulation. Remember the days you could buy a stock and it went up after you bought, now it's almost impossible short term
I like this companies fundamentals and something makes me think that at some point it could go much higher than what people currently think it might get to if they play their cards right. Everyone to their own based on their own research, but time will tell and I am prepared to wait and see.
Thanks Davey, I hope your target is met for all of our benefit! You’re right that there’s hardly any stock, hence the impact it can have on price. One day this will fly, they really could do with some PR though
"people" or person aka me. Every buy today belonged to me. Been waiting but clear to see this was not going to fall after 250k on Friday paid a big premium, hardly any stock out there so small buys gave a big % jump, then the shake when I stopped chasing it up, I'll buy more if the mm's try to shake too much. Squeeze out there, just 100k can make all the mm's short here atm. Target is 20p
Maybe the Russians are doing us a favour??
Up 15.5% today to 8p
I recall what I was doing October 2015 , bought these at 8.75p and 7.75p .
finally showing in the blue .
After my but a high of 18.25p November 2016 so had my chance to cash in .
low was 4.65p 6th March 2020 ( covid ) and stayed there .
Maybe people have finally woken up to ZAM today?
Worth catching up on regular updates from Zambeef news delivered to your inbox. The latest on Mpongwe Farm is very impressive a huge agricultural operation. What the shares are doing at 7 I have no idea!
I think you guys have covered all the current news. The expansion is sensible and overdue but beware a raise on the horizon via placing or rights potentially diluting holders. Assuming the proposed funding has been inked it would dwarf the current mrkt cap making it much harder to add a $ value for a $ spent.
Whatever the financials turn out in the years ahead going for growth in these pressing times is paramount especially in Sub Saharan Africa. A good move even if the mrkt took a dim view but don't they always? Still way out of the money here and a long road ahead for committed holders.
I'm staying in, kinda like a few of my other unloved(s) I have little choice. We shall see if its the right move at the right time, on paper it sure does!
My feeling is that we need the revenue to have doubled so that it no longer just looks like annual ups/downs going sideways. Quite happy to buy when it is low and we get massive hints of good numbers like just now. However I always seem to hold rather than sell as I always hoping to see a good long run upwards.
I always thought 49p was possible anytime except when they got stuck in the chicken poo! I came in at 10p years ago when all the directirs bought in. Still averaging about 10p but enjoying counting up my share of the earnings every 6 months even though it never gets distributed and then disappears in the stagnant sp.
I really wonder what will transform this SP..........I mean this news should do but it doesn't seem to. I first bought here at 49p. Average now 12p.............it really should be a lot of higher than this but there doesn't appear any appetite for it
This share is such a slow burner that any amateur can take the good news, wait a few days to think, and still catch any rise. Hell, we were given many weeks notice that the announcement of half year results would be fantastic.
Sorry - dimbo Northern hemisphere speaking here.... It is now winter in Zambia so more obviously 12 months from now
Just ran my little calculator over the results. 2.8 cents after tax & everything, for 6 months on shares valued less than 7p yesterday. Bit pessimistic not going for the EBITDA figure. I'm not sure they can feed that sort of PE ratio into the big firms databases.
No wonder they have cash galore to invest in growth.
The bit I am not clear about is the first planting being winter 2023 which could potentially be in just over 6 months time or 12 months later.
nothing seems to help here lol
tp 4.5p
Nt to buy any.. Should fly up
no more than can be seen on ZAM's website
Jolly .... can you share more about liquidity and pricing in Lusaka versus AIM.
The company is performing very well. It is less than 20% of its IPO price in 2011 and it is a far superior business albeit in a tough country. I expect it to perform very well but of course its purely a retail investor story and volume is pitiful.
cheaper in London than Lusaka!!!
Similarly John, I've always been in a deficit here, despite averaging down over the years. The fundamentals mean it has to come good at some point (that's my belief anyway). I see the debt being the trigger - continue paying that down so they're not exposed to the dollar currency fluctuations and it should instigate it. The assets ZAM sit on are worth many times the MCAP value - remember that farm they sold off last year for $10m?
There's no pleasing mrkts these days! I've been in this stock for a number of years and yea cannot remember ever been in profit. Luckily I'm in no hurry to see a return, not the best reason to hold a losing stock but the F/Y nos will see Zam continuing on an upward path despite being in the BOGOF bins.
Excellent all round update from Zam this morning. Happy to still hold this undervalued stock.
Good trading update, and nice to see debt reduced to $33m. The forecast is excellent so I'd expect debt to continue to reduce further. This should surely re-rate now............it seems very much unloved but the diversified vertically integrated model is perfectly suited to dealing with the current macroeconomic challenges
