Does no one in the company question doing another IPO of a minnow company such as Venus? It’s so 1990: Why not make the case to investors of AAU to invest more in AAU and fund Venus that way. Does AAU forever want to be a minnow?

The endorsement from IFC and the country’s national debt restructuring (with China support) appears very positive. No movement in the stock as there’s no liquidity… no one wants to sell at this Low price. I suspect it needs to double to 18-20p to flush out more sellers.

I echo what you say. I was the only buyer for 300k in early june. It’s hard to get any — you have to go in 1p higher than market — but it’s cheap and I like this one. It’ll be a lot higher in coming years.

The company is performing very well. It is less than 20% of its IPO price in 2011 and it is a far superior business albeit in a tough country. I expect it to perform very well but of course its purely a retail investor story and volume is pitiful.

I think there’s going to be high scrutiny on acquisitions by Kier. Why are they going back to that game. They have their own brand and market presence: use it! They don’t need more M&A risk. Very surprising.
Can anyone say why they need to make an acquisition in the same space ?

CDC is an investor in Zambeef. A very large amount is on the line. They are also very conservative when it comes to taking any E&S risks. I think it means investors can take a lot of comfort.

From CDC website. This is a long term development financial institution that will have done deep due diligence before investing its USD 65 million which is more than double the total mkt cap of the company.

I’m new to the thread but have done some research.
Googled within Ft.com website. There was a few reports in 2011 ten years ago. They then issued 52.5 million shares at GBP 38 p to raise GBP 20 million. A lot of water under the bridge since then but in CDC it has a good long term supportive shareholder I believe. Lots of ++ DD for them to invest. It’s hard to see why it’s so illiquid and unloved. Worth little more than the IPO proceeds.
