You would expect 100% increase seeing as they now have a cash position approx half the size of the Macao
Why they hood it back? With this huge volume. Never seen like this it should be reached 10p with that volume
Should be trading at 20-30 minimum
Overlooked, unloved, difficult trading conditions which they’re addressing by selling non core assets
52 week high 13.25. Looking good
Puts the company in a very good position that cash
20% up now
Will do good today
Great rns. Boom
Lol
$10 million asset sale. Over half their mcap. Could be a good one today
Morning Prince 3k. I do not day trade finding sitting in front of a comp tedious in the extreme.
Zam as you say is not a day traders stock where you need hundreds of trades and vols of £ms. O....lies are a fave of day traders I know and most struggle to make money in the current mrkt environment.
Regrettably I'm pretty brassic atm as any spare is used for drinking and punting. I'd be surprised if your not in the plus column by year end.
Still watching...................................
I would say that if you've got some long term money and want exposure to a low risk industry then I'd say feel free to come aboard since the price is the lowest it's ever been presenting very low downside, while the upside over a months is significant. Although, if you're looking for something to trade, I would suggest investing in a different stock since the volumes here are very low, so profit would be eaten by the spread. Personally, the downside at these prices are almost non-existent. By the end of the year, if there's a return to 6.5p, that'll be a ~30% return without much effort
Agree your upside potential is considerable and easily a 2 bagger if all the ducks get lined up. Have been thinking of buying back here but am committed elsewhere atm and have 90% of my cash tied up in a private Co which is frustrating as the shares are not tradeable even on a matched basis due to some ridiculous MIFID law of the EU.
I expect my loss will be your gain so I shall watch from the touchline. Gluck.
Very good evaluation. I agree that patience with any stock is extremely difficult, especially over years, so I normally invest with a 1 to 3 year time horizon where the valuation is so suppressed that it simply doesn't make sense anymore. So I bought a tranche of Zambeef at 5.19p yesterday. The downside risk is so low given a p/b of 0.128 while I should easier make excellent profit at 10 - 12p. Whether that takes a couple of months, weeks or 2-3 years is anyone's guess, but that would equate to a 30% - 40% return p.a which is still excellent by anyone's standards.
I was invested here sometime ago selling out at 10ish..losing money I might add but not a lot.
I thought 10 did not reflect the fundamentals but thought the sp was headed only one way and that was down. Commodity prices and exch rates being a drag.
Unfortunately Zam is among hundreds of shares whose value is divorced from asset values, earnings and return on capital. I cannot think off hand of a stock I have owned whose sp reflected fair value...ever, well certainly in the last 15 years. I know one is told to buy for the long term but how long is long term? Ten, twenty years? Most of us hold for perhaps a max of 3-5 years and if the value has not righted itself, its unlikely to barring an 'event'.
I held Zam for c.3 yrs and luckily have made up for losses here.
Anyways at 5 surely this is a low so you may have caught the bottom. Good luck I hope it works out for all. Finally can I give you a bit of advice I was given long ago.
" you don't have to make back your losses in the same stock"
Decided to start buying this. The fundamentals are still excellent and the share price is still ridiculous
No logic with this one!! It must be a geography issue. Company appears to make solid progress year on year, UK government has a meaningful stake, but sp permanently travels backwards.
Spread is pretty big still. I wonder why there's quite a bit of selling though?
Spread 5%
What’s going on today? The appointment of 2 directors and the SP drops 16%
This stock is starting to look interesting again. Asset wise, excellent, but the lack of positive net income is somewhat disconcerting. I may have to come back in mid 6s
Plus the spread now 7.41%
This is really going down the toilet.....................where's the bottom?
