Lol, by the way I know there is no chance, just wanting to see if my emoji works!

If Ranger is really good like they have presented and marketed then i think we will have another bidder soon :)
Stas, could well be, but I think they are after bigger beans. Do they know of a counter offer brewing maybe? Let's hope so.
We thought that afer the debacle of Vialogy, Premaitha now Yourgene, could rise out of the ashes and prove a good long term investment. Sadfly ouir hopes have been dashed. The company had we felt a good product with bags of potential. Sadly it became just a badly managed AIM company who lost the basic concept that you can't spend more than you can earn. In our view poor management tried to expand too quickly. It is very sad and disappointing for us poor PI's. If it was well managed it is worth far more than the dirasary sum being offered. Let us hope for a white Knight, but knowing our luck, it won't ha;ppen. A very sad day.
Every blessing

Or, are they just paying £470,000 to get back £522,000 a nice easy profit one might think.
Yes, very interesting indeed! There's obviously a reason behind it, and they aren't buying blind are they. Summat going on hopefully!
"Could they think a bidding war is in the offing?"
- or are they supporting one, could get interesting, that's a £470,000 purchase.

It is a purchase for 100million shares at 0.47 GBp
I thought the same. Looks like a 100M purchase?
Have Oddo bought 100m shares (3.15%) at 0.47p following yesterday's news?
Their disclosure this morning seems different to BGF's yesterday.
Could they think a bidding war is in the offing?
Or am I just dreaming and the explanation is much more prosaic?!!
Sadly this happens a lot in AIM or small cap companies....see HUR as a recent case study.
Avoid gambling here in future and invest in FTSE 250 or higher?
Tell us the gyst?

Only a couple of ways it won't imo. Either a counter offer or they can't reach the 75% needed.
TW has commented but I don’t have access - anyone able to convey the main bits?
Yourgene takeover by Novacyt, is it done & dusted? Growing anger at the big winner CEO Lynn Rees
On the surface of it a 0.55p share bid for Yourgene (YGEN) by Novacyt (NCYT) looks like a mercy killing, a good result in bad circumstances and a deal that should be done and dusted. But is it?
If you add in the £6.5M owed to TF it's nearer £23M . So around 0.007p
Did I read only those with 1% or more have a vote?
Mainly institutions bought the placing at .3 so it's all sewn up i recon
Yes, especially as the Novacyt offer only values YGEN at £16 million. 75% of shareholders need to agree. Novacyt has only received irrevocable undertakings of approx 26.1 per cent so far...
Good luck, Brighty
Imagine the SP was dropped and average down by the directors. Plus they received large sum of salary + bonus and now they manage to transition to Ncyt as well.
Only people in loss are LTH. Shame on you LR for screwing the shareholders !!
I do hope so! Couldn't happen to a nicer bunch!
No doubt Novacyt are saying all the right things until they officially own Yourgene. First to go will be LR and all those who take a large salary and offer diddly squat!
That's why everyone should be backing Andyken. Nothing to lose, let him run with it.
LR’s pathway from seriously failed CEO to prominent Board member of the company he is migrating to has to be worthy of one of Houdini’s best escape acts.
There is a callous and brutal finality to his selfless act of self-preservation. Not only have almost all of the existing Board been cut loose (sorry, invited to resign), but it seems increasingly clear that the hapless man originally holding the purse strings, BH, was identified early on to be the necessary ‘fall-guy.’
So much for the temporary management parachuted in to save the. Company.
Oh, and lest we forget, the carnage and unnecessary destruction dished out to personal shareholders.
Take a bow, Mr 97%, a shining text-book example of how to get on in this harsh business world. Conscience not required.
I’m done.
They've even duped Ncyt BOD..
