LR has no business acumen and a useless CEO. I don’t think he might have even spoken to anyone. Sometime I feel is just sit in his glass cabin and just do day dreaming 😴
Would Rees have sounded out the other potential suitors before deciding on Ncyt I wonder? Have the others already passed up the opportunity and we are here with the only offer left?
I think we need to wait for end of this week to see if another offer is coming or not. Yourgene management is useless but company’s Ranger patents are of value.
Let’s hope we get a better offer from some IIs, Illumina or Ambry 🤞🤞
Why would they increase the offer, it's been accepted? Needs others to join in for that to happen
No, there is no reason for NCYT to increase their offer right now, if it gets voted down (or looks like its going to be) or another suitor comes into the fore, then that's another thing all together. They may well do then as without a doubt they are getting a good deal.
NCYT getting a bargain company.
anyone reckon NCYT would increase the offer?
0.20p at Friday's market close, 12-month range 0.12p-8.00p. Shares in the medical diagnostics company rocket as it agrees to a takeover offer from Novacyt SA at 0.522 pence per share in cash. The deal values Yourgene's equity at GBP16.7 million
Didn't see this coming at least.. Wonder if TW will comment?
The market probably knows as much as us.. nowt!
I know Stas, but on it's own I mean.
Ambrey are owned by REALM IDx, Inc
Was just wondering if anyone had any thoughts on today’s SP settling still below the Ncyt offer price of 0.522p? Does that mean at this stage at least that the market believes no counter offer is expected?
I don't think Ambry are that big a company are they? Well not big enough to have tens of millions going spare.
The way I see this is without a buyout YGEN could be toast, however its not about us now, its about value to others. YGEN themselves may have flucked up handling of the finances however, the business is now consolidated and likely in great shape for a profitable future, shame YGEN won't realise it, but for someone else out there this could be one hell of an opportunity and if I was sitting in my office will millions of cash burning a hole, such as the likes of Ambrey, I would look at the NCYT offer and say wow, that's cheap, too cheap and it would be great for us at even twice the price. There could be many out there thinking the same, we will know pretty quickly I guess.
Make sure everyone votes against the offer
Not enough given today's news
3.08p.....looked like it might have been a feasible target for a buyout and bidding war but not on today's news! Trouble is I'm not optimistic about an improved offer coming in although it needs to!
How did you manage that Lyn, F'ing conincidence or something else!
Yes agreed Optimistic, Illumina would be a very good fit as they would like the Ranger tech no doubt. Good time for Labcorp to join in too. Lol
Twix what did you manage to get your average to in the end?
Perhaps need to contact relevant parties at these prospective co's to advertise and promote the opportunity wrt Novacyres ram raid and benefits 're Ranger etc
I am not convinced we will see a counter offer. Investors ALWAYS get too optimistic.
It's certainly an offer lower than I / we had hoped / like. But, it's an offer nonetheless.
Novacyt has the financial means to accelerate our growth. By removing duplicate roles, particularly in management, I imagine £1.5m savings easy, meaning EBITDA positive. They & YGEN have sales channels and with so many labs in place, a significant cross-selling opportunity.
Rather than fighting the inevitable, I am nibbling at Novacyt for the ride on the combined entity growth.
I imagine their aim will be to grow the business and one of the larger players will buy them up for the tech / patent portfolio and revenue base.
Good luck all.
For Illumina it would be an excellent fit considering our Ranger tech would bit them at some point of time. So, they would want to kill the competition by buying Yourgene at 2-5p !!
Thank you Guys...!!!! Hope all holders here have a nice day.
Any counter offers will indeed be quick imo. If there is, we will know in the next few days.
Well given the cash situation a counter offer will need to come quick or that's it stolen by LR and given to NCYT
Hes no Robin Hood more of a Robin Bathplug!!!
Wonder why there is no committment from the other big shareholders, as they must have been informed as BGF were?
