Still outstanding, what happens about the RBS charge?
......any news on resurrection ?
I still own a 22000 XPL shares, value showing as a approx 2k in trading account. Can i sell them? Is it too late? Might the company spark into life again or is it liquidated?
Still got an £85k RBS Charge on it at Companies House, What will happen there?
Just got my letter. That’s that then.
For this dog to still be listed they must have developed a vaccine

Surely the humane thing to do is let it die...
They didn't file their end of year accounts on time, so companies house automatically started the strike off procedure. Compulsory strike-off action has been suspended at the request of Xplorer PLC.
Just received a letter from my broker informing me that there is a proposed strike off of the company, and that the shares have been removed by the registrar. That’s the end of that then. ****s.

Hi Folks. Nothing doing so far as any news is concerned. As I advised a while ago after contacting the Chairman, they have large debts but are still looking to do something with what is, in effect, a shell company.
I would be happy to join and/or work with a group of XPL private investors to move this stock on to some kind of conclusion, even if that only allows us to draw a line under our losses. For information only, I hold about 5% of the shares allocated. GLA
I don't know about not having enough percentage of shares between us, I don't have a vast amount, but if you can get in touch with "Jack Sht," he had the best part of £100k invested. ATB
Haven't heard a thing either. Would be in favour of your initiative tamer, but I doubt that we could muster the percentage of shares sufficient to enable our voices to be taken seriously. Happy to help though if needed, now or in the future.
....no not heard a peep.
I have a lot going on at the moment, but when I get time (next year) things are going to heat up for the board. At the very least they could give us an update.
I will be looking into criminal proceedings.
What I will require is a list of investors and the amount invested to form a group. As I say I have no time to deal with this at the moment, but I will deal with the loss of my money when the time is right, so the board better not feel relaxed that this has gone away.
Don't suppose anyone has heard anything more about this? I check back every few months hoping for change. Talk about hanging on .. lol
A couple of intriguing posts in recent months from newbies...

Hi janes I have a position here can I ask what you are doing on behalf of your clients?
Afternoon all I'm a specialist lawyer appointed by some investors in Xplorer. Mind if I ask you when and how much you each invested AND when?
Never mind Jack, I've kicked myself many times. The only real "win" I've had was ECR after being in and out of about 200 different shares. Hope your luck changes for the future.
Can only dream now, as not a penny to invest. If XPL had come off, and it was supposed to hit 1.40, my investment would have been worth about 1.5m. I intended putting a couple of hundred grand straight into Sound Oil, which was below 10p at the time (that would have been another cool half a million). Another 200K was going into KIBO mining, which has yet to do its thing, but will multibag within a few months. Could have been sitting on nearly 3m in another life.

Looks like we have our answer then. I must qualify by now for an honorary degree in straw clutching :-)
Most probably someone searching the boards for work but, if indeed this is serious, my issue is not so much with Xplorer but the broker who constantly advised me to buy, knowing there was no market for me to sell into (at least not in the volumes that I held). My losses run in to the hundreds of thousands, having once held over 10% of XPL. I currently hold just over 560K shares.
I have 30,822 & 17,858. Bought at various points along the way. Basically XPL were due to RTO a company called Imara Energy, who owned two oil and gas assets in Africa. The shares were suspended when the company began the process, but shortly after the price of oil tanked hard. We have been in suspension ever since. The company apparently looked at other assets, power stations in Pakistan, a bus company, but to no avail. I can remember reading a tweet by Max Keiser, an associate of John Roddison saying how XPL holders would be having a bad xmas. This was just before the suspension I think. It seems like the bad xmas hasn't ended just yet!

If genuine? Here are my dealings: 6000 shares purchased between 20/10/2013 and 20/10/2014 in nine separate deals.

Thanks Jack for the info. You never know, some one may want a main market listed company and take on the debt one day. ATB

Hi Jack, thanks for letting us know. I guess that's the end of it then. Shame
Pleasantly surprised to receive a reply from Mr Roddison. Much as has already been reported, i.e. were trying to get something going a while ago but it didn't happen (obviously), due to a number of reasons. They have large debts which, I imagine, will hamper any future attempts. John said that he would let me know if the situation changes. Not great but at least it was a response.

.....I am also down quite a bit. I would like to know what is going on. Please let me know if I can be of help.
Will do. Email sent early yesterday. No response as yet. Don't think we need hold our breath though, but you never know.
Let us know how you get on Jack. Thanks for trying !!
Cheers for that Andrew. I'll give it a go. What's to loose eh!
Hi, I am in for a few k, which is not fortunes but I would really like to see some kind of action with this too. It's pretty terrible that they just hung it up without any communication. The director is John Roddison. I have tracked down his contact details as: John Roddison FCA Managing Director Office: Sheffield & London Telephone: 0114 268 4747 Email: john@brownmcleod.co.uk

Its bizarre as on Companies House they still have the company listed as active. https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/company/07987393/officers
The FCA should have demanded and published an explanation. It's a disgrace that they can form a company, collect over a 1m and then do virtually nothing for years and disappear into virtual oblivion without a word.

For what it's worth I dropped an email to John back in May this year and received a reply the following day. The gist of it being: (obviously can't copy and paste the original email) They are hoping to make an announcement in the next couple of weeks. The board are looking to bring in a deal which looks very promising. The oil price capitulation killed our previous deal. As you can imagine I was somewhat chuffed about this, but having heard nothing I emailed him some two months later + phone calls and surprise surprise, no response... I assume this has gone down the pan, but like others have posted it would be nice to know, just so I can offset the losses against my capital gains, if nothing else.

I would say embarrassed Jack. I wouldn't mind if he just replied to say that its all over so that we have 100% confirmation. Appreciate its 99.99% over but some acknowledgement is the least he could offer so that we could put it to bed once and for all!!
He's probably too embarrassed or ashamed to respond or even acknowledge my email, particularly given his present position. Who would want their name associated with an utter disaster. He might just be on his jolly hols though.

If I had a contact number or email address I'd ask why they are not trying to sell this as a shell. Surely that would be worth something. Can't see that they have the skills or personnel to do anything else.

I guess though in reality that's highly unlikely. Do you have any idea what the official stance is of the company. Have they folded the operations completely and walked away or is there any possibility they still have an appetite for this? Guess I am looking for some information to make me feel better about it.
Only thing I can suggest is that we, the shareholders (owners), get together with 6.5m shares (I.e. 51%+) and determine the future ourselves.
Hi All, Is there nothing we can do with this or do we just have to assume all our money is lost? I only had a few k in here so not a life changing loss but all the same a loss and vey frustrating!! How are they allowed to walk away from this with our money or are the held accountable?

Really sorry to hear your story Jack. I too got swept along, and have lost a lot on this. I would so like something to happen, but I fear we have seen the end of this.
Let's try niaivity. That said, it may take a second coming to put things right (like after the past two years I would ever believe in a god). Thanks for your thoughts Atisha and apologies if my enthusiasm led you to this stock. Jack
Sorry to here that Jack, more or less followed you to this after ECR. Just goes to show what sharedealing can do to you if it gets hold of you. Would be nice if something could be salvaged from this, can't see how they are allowed a main listed company to just do and say nothing for two and a half years. After all it looks as though WRN shareholders are going to be compensated after 3 years of suspension. ATB
As a founding shareholder with the largest number of shares outside of the Board of Directors (10% +) I would dearly love this stock to return. XPL and a combination of bad advice, nativity and greed destroyed my life completely. I lost everything (marriage, all of my money and the respect of all) and was so close to taking another bad decision. Still here though and living from week to week. Would be great to be able to speak to those at XPL and have them put everything right. Can't see that happening though. A lesson for all. Jack
I also own shares in this. My understanding is that they have looked at a number of assets - the original oil assets fell over when commodity prices tanked and market sentiment shifted. Pakistan bus and power assets were interesting (and very profitable) but there was no broker willing to sponsor an RTO for a Pakistan asset. A number of green / brownfield commodity assets which were out of favor with equity markets etc.. They told me that they are very open to consider other assets / businesses in any sector. Personally, I am looking as I would also like to see a return but, I am sure they would be open to approaches from others...
Like I said in January this would make a good RTO. Very few shares in issue and presumably not many current holders. It would be nice to get something back from this.
My understanding is that they are open to discussing suitable assets for RTO. Key person to contact is John Roddison
With so few shares in issue and the main market listing surely this would make a great shell for a RTO
WTF is going on
