Biggest loser?
Not looking at percentages, but I reckon I'll be up there at the top, 'cause this is most likely going to bring about an exit from this miserable existence of mine. This was my last chance saloon. Needed 8p by Summer this year in order to dig myself out of a massive hole. Not now going to happen, is it.
Spot on mikemike. Perhaps my post didn't make the point as clear as you did. Electricity generation (by Kibo in the main, hopefully) will drive industry and, therefore, jobs to enable access to electricity by all. As you say, this process will evolve over many years. The public services take-up (schools, government offices, street lighting, etc, etc) will most likely match the industry pace.
Of course, as evidenced this morning, the demand for exported power from other countries could eclipse all of these and should ensure full capacity power production from any generator in Tanzania.
Appears to me that we have a situation in Tanzania not too dissimilar to our own industrial revolution. Might be why we may be struggling to agree a price for electricity. My belief is that Joe public cannot currently afford electricity at a price that would make its production profitable (at least not at the levels acceptable to today's businesses).
Maybe, as it was for the UK, it is industry that initially grows, on the back of electricity generation, providing the jobs and income sufficient for the working class to afford electricity at the going rate. In the meantime the general public consumes coal in vast quantities, as we did up until the late sixties. Just a thought. Gla
.......some git has blown up our coalfields and destroyed all of the work carried out over the past years. Even worse, our partners have all disappeared and ended their involvement with us and the future of energy production in Africa.
Oh, hang on a bit, just read the RNS again. Sorry, we're still on track in Tanzania and making superb progress in our other major ventures. Never mind, at least the MM's are having fun with the worriers and knee- jerk brigade. Lol
FFS aerial! Do you get some kind of buzz out of trying to be the first to bring us bad news. I know you are an investor in this stock (and EDL) and, like the rest of us, want to see Kibo flourish.......but please try to ignore the urge to put your degree in stating the bleeding obvious to work.
Thanks for the thought but, despite the name, I am absolutely cr***** myself at the moment. Locked in and no spare funds. For reasons I won't bore folk with, this is my last role of the dice. If this isn't around 10p in another 6 months I can start measuring my car exhaust for a hose fitting.
I know we are all very *issed with today's news, but c'mon, we have less than one fifth of one percent of total shares sold today, so it's not armageddon. Like me, the majority of holders will be locked in at this level, so we might as well sit back and await what will be, imvho, the inevitable award of business to Kibo. In the meantime, I trust LC is concentrating his resources on our other projects which are not, up to now, showing the same signs of political shackles.
Know First Equity well from past investments. Not a good experience and they did have some folk working there who were, lets say, lacking in professionalism.
BCL - would love you to be correct re the purchase of a shell company. Kibo would thrive outside of AIM. Not saying there's no dodgy dealing in the main market but certainly not as manipulated as AIM.
...on the visit of president Megafoolish to the Mbeya region. When first announced I thought that they may co-ordinate the SML approval with the visit, say a few days before his arrival. Still believe he will visit when there's something for him to celebrate/congratulate himself on.
Unless there is clarification this week on the tendering process and its affect on our business in Tanzania, imo LC should put this on the backburner and put all efforts into our other 2 initiatives, where we have governments that support businesses and can move apace. LCs position with the Tz government is beginning to look similar to that of our PM and the EU, I.e. embarrassing and crying out for a two finger salute.
Haven't heard a thing either. Would be in favour of your initiative tamer, but I doubt that we could muster the percentage of shares sufficient to enable our voices to be taken seriously. Happy to help though if needed, now or in the future.
Good find Wimbo. For those who questioned Kibo's reasoning, there's your answer. Some may argue about the timing and that LC should be concentrated on current issues, but opportunities like this cannot be ignored if we (Kibo Energy) are to achieve our ambition of becoming a major energy player in Africa. In fact, it looks clear that, without the capabilities that such an acquisition provides, Kibo would fail in those ambitions.
Also, who's to say that the GoT have not stipulated the need for such capabilities as part of any partnership going forward. GLA
