It baffles me why this share has not performed better after a series of very encouraging RNS
We can expect a trading update in January that is likely to be hugely positive
In a very small way I'm doing my bit - I'm going to an Escape Hunt venue next week with 20 folks at work
I've not yet been to a Battle Bar - but it's firmly on my to do list
I'm invested for two reasons:
1) I think this is undervalued significantly and the organic growth will lead to some very strong results
2) I expect consolidation in the this space. There are a number of mid sized players in the adult leisure space. It would not surprise me to see Private Equity swoop for these at some point. We are already starting to see a number of M&A transactions targeting cheap UK listed companies. I expect this to increase in early 2024. Or maybe someone like BOWL may be interested - they are sitting on £50m Cash i believe and must see the threat from companies like XPF
Don't forget than XPF also have first dibs on 'Flip Out' as a further opportunity to expand
I have taken a modest position in my SIPP - so happy to be as patient as i need to and in it for the long haul.
Thanks for post. I think this confirms how popular experiencial socialising is. And boom battle bar does it best l. Just a quick look at electric shuffle and they only have 3 in uk vs I think 27 boom bars if I remember correctly (not to mention 46 escape rooms last time I checked). Plus boom bars have better ratings.
If these type of bars are opening and mainstream media are marketing it it shows how the market is growing. And boom battle bars are best positioned to benefit from this.
I truly believe q4 2023 will be XPFs best quarter on record. All bars fully operational, no covid, no train strikes corporate bookings will be through the roof, xmas parties, students will love this over the festive period. Not to mention the flywheel effect. The more ppl go the more ppl will positively talk about it and will gain massive traction. You just have to look at their reviews to know how much ppl like their experience. In London ppl rave about swingers (golf), flight club (darts), as well as others. This is all of them combined!
Agreed it's a great business and undervalued and maybe that's because there is so little press released to market. about time the story was told and share price rises
The directors have too much skin in the game, I'd say. look at share dilution since floatation
It’s a tough value trap 🪤
Needs to break that 18p line of resistance and maybe a bit of turnaround on the cards SP wise.
Nearly 6% up today. Hopefully Mr. market has realised what is the real value of XPF
Share prices looking strong! Was good to see COO put some skin in the game
Director/PDMR Shareholding
XP Factory (AIM: XPF), was notified on 29 September 2023 that Andrew Jacobs, Chief Operating Officer of the Company, on the 27th and 28th of September 2023 acquired 177,303 ordinary shares of 1.25 pence in the Company ("Ordinary Shares") at an average price of 16.908 pence per share.
As a result, Andrew Jacobs' total beneficial interest in the Company has increased to 1,066,921 Ordinary Shares, representing 0.61 per cent. of the Company's issued share capital.
Let us not forget BIDS. Hopefully XPF should be the exception to the norm.
I like Paul Hill though ... gave me the lovely tip of EQLS.
Couldn’t 😂
Your missing a few - GFIN, SO4 , Brandshield … Could score in a brothel
Justin Waite's record for share picking is dreadful. His mate Paul Hill is equally as bad. They must be being paid to constantly tip the duds that they come up with. POLX, BOO, TRU, SAL, GTC etc I am afraid that XPF could well be another dud.
I’ll bet Justin Waite is gnashing his teeth at market reaction to latest (seemingly stellar) results.
Watching his podcast yday (I believe he has a big holding in XPF) he was prattling on about this being a long term change in consumer behaviour (experiential leisure). Hmmmm🤔
I’m not so sure. Boom Battle Bar absolutely seems like a ‘fad’ to me. I visited the BBB in Exeter to see it for myself and ‘experience’ it. The place was large but largely empty aside from a small gaggle of women throwing axes (very badly I might add). Wasn’t impressed although in mitigation it was midweek and the shopping area itself was quiet. It would be interesting to have a look on a Friday or Saturday night.
As for the Escape Rooms…. Seriously? I did it once and once was enough. Another fad I’m afraid and there is plenty of competition out there now too.
So is this a long term investment? Absolutely NOT. Biggest risk is its faddiness. It has NO permanency about it whatsoever.
All that said in the shorter term there ‘could’ be a bit of money to be made but I see much better opportunities elsewhere.
Sorry Justin.
Every time great news is published, this SP starts to slide. Turning out to be a bit false. Hmmm….
Ha ha, it hasn't closed yet! Numbers are great, I suspect the market just wants more free cash in the bank??
On the bright side it's not gone down
1.5% overjoyed!
What a set of results! Excellent growth! Shows not only how resilient this company is during cost of living etc but how there’s clearly growing demand for experiential leisure. This can’t be compared to traditional leisure, bar, pub companies etc. think the market needs to wake up to how good this company is.
Definitely 'strong buy' for me. Numbers don't lie
Dying to see what Mr. Market thinks of that.
7 am tomorrow for the half year view and trading outlook - All I hope is for stability and no rollercoasters 🎢 either way … GLA
Over 6% for a change. Good trading update on the cards?
