and with at least a further $33m in addition to where we are today investment in the 3d side, current mcao £33m, looks like a greatdeal more value here (almost twice)
article from last year announcing the initial move by Stratasys and looks like we are arriving at the later stages of investment and transformation for XAR :-)
https://www.fabbaloo.com/blog/2019/9/13/stratasys-invests-big-time-in-xaar-but-why
Stratasys Xaar Investment
The new investment in Xaar is substantial. They explain:
“… an agreement with Xaar plc to purchase shares of Xaar 3D Ltd. that will increase Stratasys’s stake in Xaar 3D from 15 to 45 percent, with Xaar plc, through its fully owned subsidiary, Xaar 3D Holdings, having the remaining 55 percent. In addition, the agreement includes an option for Stratasys to acquire the remaining shares of Xaar 3D. The transaction is subject to Xaar plc shareholder approval.”
So it seems that Stratasys is very confident in recent developments at Xaar 3D and wishes to push it along as fast as they can. Also note that they likely intend to absorb the company entirely by purchasing the remaining 55% at some point in the future.
Mass Customization with Xaar?
My suspicion is that this will eventually lead to a new line of manufacturing products from Stratasys using the Xaar HSS technology. These will be huge machines capable of mass manufacturing of custom thermoplastic objects. That’s something we really haven’t seen yet, as 3D printing of today can produce custom objects only at low volumes.
If this move is successful, it could boost Stratasys’ revenues significantly, as the manufacturing business is vastly larger than their current market,

bit of profit taking today and why not, we've jumped back to more sensible levels and with CEO's purchase of £49k @ 39.5p it suggest confidence in the figures and his determination to drive on from here over coming weeks to return even greater value...
Hi Leef, nothing wrong with highlighting any positives , we can all learn from each other and I'm sure we all welcome any input to help our investment decisions
@surprised
Thank you for the info.
I very much know and understand this market. Xaar has great IP and the revenue and cash speaks for itself.
I like the management changes and John Mills (as I’ve said previously) knows the market, Domino, Inca Digital etc....
I don’t want to sound like I’m ramping but Xaar technology has been around from Seiko IRH and SPT, through your OmniDot that T-TEC we’re putting in the biggest selling flatbed UV printer of all time
mm's didn't make that easy at the end of day....well done to all all held their stock for the trip into 40p+ territory and clealry XAR has attracted attention with the potential for Stratasys to take a further $33m of XAR etc ...the figures speak for themselves as stated and ceo taking near £50k today at 39.5p a positive too for further gains from here....patience and nerve can be rewarded..expect a few moves from the mm's, they will need stock to supply buyers and all part of the game , however clealry mcap and sp should be almost double what we have had , enjoy the ride :-)
Good on him...and even better for us....MR. market likes it too...
Yes, I’ve just seen that ;-)
Thank you mate.
Much appreciated.

Hello @surprised.
Thank you very much for your informative information.
Do you know when this buy took place? I cannot seem to find it, although I’m probably not looking hard enough.

share never straight line as we know, the figures are your friend in these situations, reducing risk and clear value on the maths, position and patience, this is notas you say a bottom end aim stock , this is a quality stock with greater potential, the many day traders who bought at 22p and sold at 25p area a couple of weeks ago will all be looking back thinking they could and should have had some patience, understoodthe investment and figures and achieved much higher gains.....position patience it's not a day trade it's an investment hence a bargain share for 2020 not just April :-)
Is..we know they have £70 million assets, of which £25 million cash and we know Schroders have at least 20% holding. The first few months of the year may have had little effect on trade but with uncertainty now and going forward, what is there to stop Schroders manipulating the sp down again over the coming months between news....just my take, stranger things have happened. Gla
important to rember Investors Chronicle noted XAR as a bargain buy for 2020 in the 35 -40p region, the sp only fell away to 20p due to the savage general market fall back in March at that point the mcap fell below £50m (when shares were around 48 -50p) that then forced AXA to off load their holding (funds follow rules not market moves and remove holdings under £50m from their fund, only to buy back again when the price has risen !) taking the sp to an artificial level of 20p for a short time, we are now back at bargain levels with the option of Statasys adding in another $33m on top of our current £31m mcap at a share price of 41p...once again the figures speak for themselves :-)
well done Dirky

financial figures (income, cash, no debt etc) looked very good at 20p and still are at 41p with the details in below posts and an mcap much further north of current levels in the offing :-)
So glad i kept faith and bought on the drops, i first bought in at 246 now im happy its on 40 and im in the blue, gla
Investors Chronicle article re XAR --'With partner Stratasys now holding 45 per cent of Xaar’s 3D business after paying $10m to increase its stake, and with an option to buy the remainder for $33m, Xaar is becoming a much slimmer proposition. Its £28m market capitalisation means the valuation is less than the value of its current assets less all liabilities at £47m...........a net net stock
current mcap £28m and a potential double or more offer of $33m+ in addition for the 3d in the offing ;-)
