FY2022
“The income you earned from 1st April 2021 to 31st March 2022”
Hi Beach the answer to your question is held in knowing what exactly this means.
“with a view to recommending a final dividend in respect of FY22”
FY22 - Is that January 31st 2022?
If so, is that a cut off date? so only people investing in the next 10 days or already invested will qualify?
Not sure how dividends work? Anyone?
Any thoughts on where this could go?
It could be worse I might be going to buy more !!!!!
Ha ha Just do me one big favour jedclampit, if you are going to sell then please let us all know so we can pile in! {smiley face}.
So do you think I have done you a favour by sitting on the fence regarding which way the SP will go, meaning I sit tight and the sp goes up ?
Knew it!
As with most rns's a lot of waffle and good sales increase but still a loss, a little carrot of divi for year end but probably only a 1p if we are lucky.
Am I right in saying very little / no debt that I could find in the RNS. but with US down again and the thought of Russia going into Ukraine still think total markets are on a knife edge and could go down more so not sure what will happen to SP.
Could someone please share why they are talking about dividends when making a loss? Are they going to be able to afford it?
Good luck everyone. Put my Card profit in here.
A bank or hedge fund probably found out Lisa from Chelmsford store got a cold last week so SP will drop 15%.
60p+ today guys!
The standout sentence in the whole RNS has got to be the following:-
The balance sheet has gained strength more quickly than expected and, accordingly, the Board will bring forward consideration of dividend payments with a view to recommending a final dividend in respect of FY22, provided the preliminary results to be published in late July 2022 are in line with our revised expectations.“
Well done guys.
Propose a dividend, wow was not expecting that, looking good.
Reads well to me. Interesting to watch SP. I thought Card read well and that fell 18% so not counting my proverbial chickens BB
Great news overall apart from future inflationary costs for shipping that was to be expected but overall positive going forward .
No Smorty I did add it to my watchlist and liked what I saw but it’s too short notice for me because I’m an “all in” kind of person. I don’t do balanced portfolios and spread my risk. (I know I should do but just don’t)
The problem with a tip is that yes I could maybe put 5 or 10 grand on it but when (if) it doubles then I end up cheesed off wishing i had put more on.
Rather go all in on medium risk companies like CARD, WRKS, SAGA
But thanks and Well done! I will monitor it over the next couple of months.
Off topic but did you have punt on HE1 RH ?
Same here Carlost.
"Looking ahead, we have a fantastic range of products for our customers this Christmas with initial demand for them already very strong. We are cautiously optimistic about prospects for our peak sales season and our ability to trade through the ongoing supply chain challenges faced by the majority of our sector.
"As we celebrate our 40th year, I am proud of the business that The Works has become and of our colleagues who work incredibly hard to delight our customers and support one another."
Interim results notification
The interim results for H1 FY22 and an update on Christmas trading will be announced on Friday, 21 January 2022.”
C’mon Works you can do this!
Iam in here hoping that WRKS bucks the trend of a fall in share price after an update or results RNS. This could be the one... Long and Strong :)
Rox I brought Card at 49p and 63p roughly 56p average because of your ramp. Sold half of card yesterday and in here. Second time lucky I hope for you.
My big day on ramps Thursday next by true love Saga.
Last update read well but short on detail. My gut tells me this will go up as update had post covid trading way ahead (card slightly lower) and margins feel higher as does transaction size.
Be interesting tommorrow
60p+ this tomorrow after the results.
I’m placing my reputation on it! (again) ha ha
They do say that the biggest gains are to be made on the quietest discussion boards - look at SHOE.
Think it will be a positive RNS,
RH you like a gamble, try HE1 I’ve been in for the last few month at 7p average, hope you took notice Rogue if your out there haha
Well, if you two are keeping them then I really should sell! Ha ha only joking.
Shipping costs seems to be a problem for any Company that imports goods (from China) but since me make nothing here anymore in the Uk it’s a constant for everyone do costs will rise and affect everyone at the same rate.
It doesn’t seem to have any effect on SHOE?
Good luck for Friday and for what it is worth I’m keeping mine also.
Morning Rox, not selling any of these yet but might sell some card that I bought for 54p to make a little profit.
Long and strong
Quick question lads.
Sell some just before the results or like Card hang on until they are announced this Friday am.
Can you let me know what you are both doing please so I can do the opposite! Ha ha
