Excellent buy price...just bought more at 90.50....Over 8% yield...plus no doubt capital appreciation up to this date...a gift!!!....takeover at these low prices...the merger with 3 is a good sign for starters!
What a joke... it never went upto 90.50 today so far. so how can you buy it..?
Casshy posts ... Over 8% yield...plus no doubt capital appreciation up to this date...a gift.
Go very careful if you are thinking of investing here.
Just say the dividend is cut nest week, it is definitely a possibility & then Casshy won't get his 8% yield & the SP will be in the 80's ... then it may be a nicer gift !!
The merger with 3 is not a good sign. It is a sign that the company is now too financially weak to fund its own 5g investment program, so it must give away a portion of its uk market share to a rival.
Selling towers is a bad sign, as is getting into bed with a minority shareholder. You can see the market reaction to that.
Time to wake up and admit sucking a div out is not best for the company.
Why don’t you all sell this shxt and salvage what capital you can and buy something quality on a summer pullback like Msft or apple, U.K. dividend shares are the utter pits. You can get 5pc risk free on treasuries, this junk will have to slash or suspend the dividend, you are talking about a 40/50p share.
Although Porsche's way of putting things is not my style he is probably talking sense.
Vodafone are down from about 2.20 to 91p in the last 5 years. Apple are up about 325% & Microsoft up about 305% over the same period. THAT DOESN'T MAKE VOD A NO BRAINER BUY now as some on here keep spouting. It is 91p for a variety of reasons.
So 20K in VOD 5 years ago is now worth below 9K, the same in Apple would now be worth about 65K etc etc, need I say more & that's without any dividends being factored in.
'Why don’t you all sell this shxt '
You guys are working overtime today, or is that this evening with the voice of moderation loL
You guys need to get out of your positions before you get Fok'd

Past performance is no guarantee of future results, "need I say more"?
Well the past is the past, for me out of those 3 which have the potential to grow the most? is it the 2 companies who have already seen over 300% growth or the company that is down over 50%, who have clearly identified areas for improvement (divestment in some area's, mergers in others), will they work? who knows but for me there is more upside than downside at this point
Whole sector is down today. BT lost similar % today.
Remember this quote:
“The market can be irrational for longer than you can remain solvent “
Patience….
I unfortunately bought into this share almost five years ago and over time averaged down. If the price and dividend stays the same for the next five years I will just about break even...You win some you loose some!
gary59. i wouldn't say porsche1949 is talking sense about anything. he clearly hates the uk, calls everything dog**** and has a problem with asian immigration.
Past performance is no guarantee of future results, "need I say more"?
As Terry Smith says that is the most stupid phrase ever, of course past performance is a guide to future results.
…oh and by the way, it’s not racism to suggest that whole areas of the country like dumps like Bradford and the people’s republic of South Yorkshire being colonised by Asian immigrants may not actually be a good thing…..when English is no longer the first language in a British school and English kids are the minority voice…..fortunately I left the U.K. in 2015 as I sold a large business and it saved me 7 figures in CGT, I can enjoy from the sunshine and a fantastic lifestyle watching pretty much everything I thought would happen, and worse, coming true for the U.K. It’s poorer in every way, shocking, also, why do you think so many companies are removing their U.K. listing on the ftse? Writing is on the wall I’m afraid and brexit was the final nail. What happens when you let the great unwashed vote on anything important . As for this, it’s a short to sub .50p, watch this space.
"Past performance is no guarantee of future results" Clearly Porsche doesn't know the difference between the two words, guarantee & guide.
Porsche1946 working overtime to push the bear case, does this mean it's time to fill one's boots?
Vod is a cash cow
Sort the overheads/debt and problem solved
Good evening Porsche1946
""As Terry Smith says that is the most stupid phrase ever"
As Forrest Gump says, "Stupid is as stupid does" a phrase that typifies your repeatedly daft and contradictory posts written with an enormous amount of artistic licence.
Enjoy your weekend
