Enjoy your Dividend Weekend....atb
Already spent my divi in spoons, lovely food and beer
I am with London South East Trading who run this forum & both my trading & I.S.A. accounts have received the divi. I find them very good.
My divi gone into my Halifax trading account but not my ISA as yet. Halifax tell me they do not pay it into ISA till the next day so it will now be Monday……..bar stewards 😱
I cant see the reinvest of div case being notable. Most retail inv draw down divs as a source of cash income.
Institutions wont be waiting for the dividend to land to reinvest. If they want to buy the stock, they can at any point.
XxxAccountant. Well pointed out. It is amazing how some on here still don't know the difference between ex divl day & divi pay day. If anything the sp should rise with divi re investment? Let's hope so.
You don't own any VOD shares Jax, or you must be stupid, given your outlook.
Surprise Surprise, Iweb in isa acc, but not trading acc , will be reinventing dividends at these low levels....atb
Divi not in my Halifax account yet……..a shame as I was going to reinvest it in SEE and that now up 4.5% so far today……Bugger.
Not yet. Barclays
Just landed in HL....And took a punt on CPI big drop this morning hoping for a swift rise.....
Divi was in first thing, IG. Nice.
Had mine 2 hours ago
With ii
I'm with HL still waiting normally arrive around lunchtime.....Not sure whether to reinvest or go else where....
Who's had their div yet?
With dividend payments equating to over 10% of todays share price. It’s a no brainier to buy and hold at these prices.
You forget to mention the brand, the customer base, the repeat revenue contracts, the best 5G network and the new CEO in your summary. You cant just highlight the bits you don't like, investors take a 360 approach and it wont be based on today either.
I don't believe most on these boards have the knowledge to take as short position, you're giving them too much credibility!
Our VOD divi should hit the bank today. What are your plans for it?
Recently I have been investing any dividend I recieved in “SEE”
Hopefully one day it will prove to be the right move. 👍
Oh no, spot the sad shortest on here. Yawn yawn
You’re gamble will cost you dear when they sell the Spanish and Italian businesses, debt down, share price back at £1.30
Wow 12 likes for that!
“With a recession looming and with everyone owning a
Mobile and having internet at home they will invest in safe havens like here. Just watch”
A quick glance at the share price during the Great recession and I see a 40% drop for Vod
Hi it went ex div ages ago, the drop happened then. People who invested yesterday will not be entitied to the divi
With a recession looming and with everyone owning a
Mobile and having internet at home they will invest in safe havens like here. Just watch
Next good news, which most are waiting for us sale of overseas assets to clear the debt, the debt is what’s killing our share price, it’s that simple
Our CEO didn’t invest such a large amount of money without knowing this Will happen
There are several key issues with Vodafone
The first is its a company in the now and not the future. Goes day by day and it seems lije those employed to run the company are all from the same mindset. No karge cash reserves when times are good. Just big bonuses to staff and one off dividends while the company flounders year on year with a no win strategy. You can't keep buying your way out of trouble. Keep paying over the odds for licences that will never return on investment. Debt exceeds assets and with interest rates going up and no real assets to sell anymore there is little room to move. I cannot understand how they thought the govt would allow a merger. Been there done that and rejected. Why would vodafone think they are any different. No one will buy the company as its failing. Share price keeps falling as there is no confidence left. I would welcome any sensible logic as to why this will be here in the future given 14 years of consistent failure snd add to that the company is losing customers in key countries. I bought into this in my Sipp and also have CFDs and should have bailed out years ago. I dare say this will be gone soon unless there is the will of large investors to make sweeping changes especially at the too where its well and truly proven over 14 years the ship is sinking
You obviously have no idea how the dividend system works in the UK. Totally clueless. Some will reinvest their dividend and be granted additional shares which may even see a rise, stranger things have happened.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion here guys negative or positive, the over positive posters are just as dangerous as the negative ones
the positive posters have been saying how well this is going to do for the last 5 years, saying how under values this share is should be at least £2 blah blah blah, look where it is now, so who was right?
hopefully it will turn around, but it's not happened yet has it? I'm hopeful it will but i need so see it actually happen not just a dream, just keep it in mind you maybe wrong, that's for the negative and positive posters
