A good rise back up today. I can see this carrying on, as there may be news of new ceo on the way and merger news may be coming soon. Feel positive about the short to medium term. Only way is up!
500p By summer
dibbieboy. I hope you are right. Nice to get positive posts on here. Last week was a dissaster of course, but I think it will go up soon. Cheers & have good day.
If merger between Vodafone and Three is approved - price of Vodafone shares to increase greatly
Trickytree. I hope you are right, but I am concerned about Three loseing money at the moment, hopefully together vod & Three can make big savings, & profits. Good luck to all serious vod investors, we sure need it.

mehmehmeh. So do you agree with i.i. or is it just an advert to sign you up with interactive investor? Come on, we can all see this for ourself! Double will do me, but lets be realistic.
the article has not got much detail why its going to double. at the end of article it says a sum of parts price target of 131p.
i guess energy costs will help FCF. I dont know how well and if the price increases with inflation will work
mehmehmeh. I think vod is worth as least 131, My point was interactive investor just want to draw you in so as to get you to sign up to there services. I think we all know vod is worth more than 131, so it's a buy from me. No sign up required!?
A good recovery , but very bad conpared to the ftse , I think back to £1 plus soon? Think positive, may the the force be with you!!
I think there is no doubt this share will soon be back at £1 at least. I see no genuine reason for it not to be. I feel with new ceo on the horizon and a merger which they would not put the effort in to if it was not beneficial financially, there is more up side than down. Only up in my view.

at the moment there is a lot of doubt ....the general view in the City is the the EU will fall into recession ....so that is why VOD will struggle to get much of a move ..unless that view on the EU economy changes ...over to you Lagarde
Lagarde has been around for a while now and I feel she is a good person to steer Europe away from a recession. She is probably the best person for the job. I still feel very positive for the rest of the year.
Pokerchips re diddieboy1. " over to you Lagarde". Come on poker, You talk sense somtimes, but not today. Explain please ?? we all know the risks of recession.
" we all know the risks of recession."
Dan
well...recession usually means lower earnings , more move to cheaper products ..low cost phone contracts for example...of which VOD has quite a few ..probably some more job losses still to come ..to cut costs further in the economy
dibbieboy1
yeah..maybe later in the year when the damage from the stronger interest rate rises has passed then better things can come ....but as we know....Lagarde has to try and dampen inflation whilst stopping any economic slide ... and they came to game late with regards rate rises
Lagarde a good person?..well she just communicates the work of the teams assessing all the data and collectively making the decisions
'Lagarde a good person?..'
...well better than Dominique Strauss-Kahn apparently

There is reasons to be positive, but i suspect we will have to be very patient for some time yet, as we all know the world is in a bit of a mess at the moment, 130 will do me

Starlink satelites in orbit, so far
Vantage Towers deal completed, up to 6.6Bil into VOD which might help with Debt... came up in my new RNS listing. We're either heading sub 90 or +£1 but no idea which... divi not so far away though. GLA
'divi not so far away '
Yes, plenty of cash. Would be good if they lift the final div for inflation and the SP rerates to 6% yield going forward. €154Bn total assets = €25Bn market value is not sum of the parts. Vantage now proven
After deducting all liabilities, the NAV is still around €56b. More than double the current market cap.
It’s dropping in the US after initial gains today. Hopefully pick up before closing
“Would be good if they lift the final div for inflation”
Last thing they should be doing is raising the div. First thing should be cancelling it.
tree shake. I would not sell never.
'Last thing they should be doing is raising the div.'
Why not?
Prices will increase for inflation next week. Cash cow plus asset sales. Shareholders like E&, Malone, Niel et al getting a return on their investment. No near term debt to repay. 2.5% coupon debt easily serviced. No incremental near term capex. I guess they could put the money on deposit at 6% interest...?
