Good interview with David Duffy on Bloomberg from Dec 2022.
Stating the focus of the business was to GROW the dividend (to 10p )and increase share buybacks.
It was disappointing to only receive 2p as a final dividend today, after an intermediate dividend of 3.3p during the year.

Anyone found interviews David held today?
Well the buy-back should have got off to a terrific start ..........
The Aussie's won't be pleased with the dividend or results, I can see them easily having the CDI share price down 10%+
How this ever went up in price this morning defeats me.
Won't be touching this for some time, damage done.

Richard Branson pi ssing VMU money up the wall with Virgin Galactic! Which is another s hitshow of Virgin. Wish all holders some good luck as will need it for this stock.
Looks like your crystal ball has a crack based on results declared
I agree, someone or something has dropped the ball.
I don't know about 'challenger bank'
It's certainly a challenging share to own
since buying in at the IPO in 2014 at 2.80ish.
Nearly a decade on and the shareprice/performance is dire.
Does anyone know whether this company has returned it backroom staff to offices or are the majority of their staff working at home.
Or is it a 90/10 split (90% of time is spent at home)?
Just noticed a new short position has opened up as well.
The share price never recovered after the special dividens was paid. Looks like a rough couple of months
Well you got a bit of a shock today then !
I was expecting the final dividend to at least be maintained at the 7.5p level especially when you take into account all the shares that have been bought back since last year's final ex-dividend date (meaning they save a good few million that way).
But no, instead they slash it to just 2p from 7.5p which makes no sense.
Shares are only headed one way from here I'm afraid & that's south in the coming months.

I can't quite believe the market is taking these results so well !
How is everyone not shocked by the massive cut in the dividend !
Yield is now lower than virtually all the main banks. So no incentive to own the stock.
Market will eventually wake-up to the facts & this will trade a lot lower in the coming weeks.

As usual, jargon and management speak used to obfuscate. Poor results and buy back instead of dividends.
Virgin is likely to announce much better results on 23rd November and pay a higher dividend than forecasts imo.
Wouldn't get too excited 2227, VG not been buying as % only increased by reduction of shares in issue as per effect of Buy Backs. Actual number of shares held still exactly same as shown in 2022 AA.
Richard branson's Virgin Group has increased their holding in VMUK to above 14%.
Richard bransons has increased holding to over 14% in VMUK.
Interim dividend was increased by a third from 2.5p 3.3p. Last years final was 7.5p so I'm hoping for a similar increase to it later this month when the final results are announced.
Seeing as the yield here is 7.4% and not the 2% shown and likely to soon be higher as a result of the ongoing buy backs, this share is currently well underpriced. I will be adding more as soon as I have cash available.
50 million share buy back! it means hold on to it will go up at least 250
Not much, it went up.
Nice rise! Wondering what Boe news tomorrow will do to it though
Today - 50 million share buy back!
When is it due please? Thursday?
thanks
