also hit 170 today after going ex divi so even stranger. that was an odd drop near close so decided tp buy a few as i was on my laptop.
3.3p worth to do with going ex-div today, gets paid around 21/12 but off s/price today. but still quite a drop.
Its bizarre that it dropped 6%!!
lol, they play rough
Didnt understand that Spikeyj? Care to elaborate? :-)
same black box games again today,on low overall volume. pl'A'y-time for the computers.
in last minute and a half, it got absolutely peppered with a spray of little A trades.
You two will be in the poorhouse soon if you don't follow your old mucker Gsmiley advice and derisk on this volatile share. Although you might have missed your chance ??
Ha! I forgot about that nugget of genius!
maybe he got his valuation from the same place that arsenal got his information about woodford's intentions to sell his utw holding.
If this report is anywhere near right my 205 is a very conservative estimate!!! Maybe we are all sitting on a beauty and don't realise GLA
Where do you get them valuations Dave. Did you pluck them out of a lucky dip bag.!!!
It seems to me that an mcap of 120m seems a lot. The market doesnt seem to have a lot of confidence here. They seem very overstaffed from skim reading the last statement. From my limited research there is a business here but not at this price, at the minute Id probably pay somewhere around £1.20 per share. I could be wrong and have been wrong before and earings are good but I cant really see the value
Its dropping but not sure why

Maybe I wasn't talking b0ll0ck$ after all then chaps, opened your eyes to my reasoning, although more buys than sells Friday for the first time in yonks!!! Not a reason to stay in over 205 though.
cheers, gl
HI Spikey Good write up in SCSW today so I imagine we will see an uptick on Monday. Having said which I will reduce sometime during the day. Have done very well here since the end of August and (although I have defended the cash flow on this bb recently) the more I look at it, the less I like it. There is an awful lot of stuff on the balance sheet under Non-Current Assets. Excluding fixed assets, these increased by about £22m to over £60m on a pre tax of only £14.1m. So if there is anything seriously wrong with revenue recognition or if any of their acquisitions turn out to be a dud then UTW could easily restate to 31st July 2015 as a loss. I don't think they will, but whereas with other shares I see no realistic possibility of an adverse rerate, I can't say the same here. Like the model, will keep some shares, but until they get a decent FD my exposure will be the profit I have made in the last 2+ months. GLA GS
i think the issue is more about cash, and how much the accounts can be trusted. woodford has been pretty clear that he thinks the financials are sound overall despite relatively aggressive revenue recognition, but nonetheless that seems to be the query in the mind of doubtfuls here.
Revenue up 41% Profits up 35% https://www.utilitywise.com/investor-relations/
made sell recommendation on UTW yesterday: http://www.sharesmagazine.co.uk/news/analyst-still-bearish-on-utilitywise#.VjxYf8tLHlI
nothing much in the way of late declared trades. down significantly, but actually on pretty low volume. ho hum.
Given the recent financials update, the clarity it gave compared to previous, the stability of the market sector they work in and the lack of bad news I find the volatility odd at the moment. there is no reason I can see for the company to vary in value by 10% day to day. Wonder is there is some non public information being acted on.
seems fairly low so far will be interesting to see if there's more to show up in delayed trades or not.
I'm praying this is a shake to wipe the weak again, will hold for dividend if I have to only problem with that what happens ex dividend, carnage would not surprise me !!
